Because the music that they constantly play/says nothing to me about my life
The last couple of days in 307 words or less:
-Birthday presents: very pretty tanzanite ring from my parents, gift cards, assorted yummy bath and body works items, a neat-o "How to Knit" magazine from the 1960s from my grandmother, and a book. Plus the funniest present from my brother - a tin filled with cookies, and when you take the lid off it plays "Happy Birthday to You!" Or as I like to call it, "I know you're opening the cookie tin you fat couch potato!" We had good laughs about that on the phone. Also, my boss got me an ipod nano (!), causing me to slightly soften my anti-mac stance, because 1) it's so pretty! 2) it plays video! 3) it's so pretty! and 4) It's tiny! It's also shiny, which is why I named her Firefly.
-Bought a sewing machine with a gift card left over from Christmas. I'm bringing my crafting to the next level baby!
-Sickness report: getting better all the time. Sleep is good, congestion isn't.
-Watching: Dexter and The Tudors. Enjoyed both of them, not falling over myself in love with them like the rest of Hollywood. Am I missing something?
-My spec: C'mon act four! I know you're in there! Just flow from my brain to my fingers please!
-My mental state: frazzled. In case, for some reason, the fragmented nature of this entry wasn't a clue. Things are very hectic at work as we're onlining our first show and heading into our mix next week. Yay deliverables!
-This weekend: TAXES! And I must finish my acts four and five. And clean like whoa. Being sick for almost week means I haven't touched a thing in my apartment, and it looks like trashed frat house, if frat guys were prone to trashing their living spaces with knitting projects and crafting accouterments. So...not at all like a frat house.
