Looks like my need for multiple on-going projects of differing levels of complexity and size is applicable to both my knitting and my writing. Wow. That actually kinda sounds like a story idea I've been working on since high school. Of course, you've only been talking in generalities, and I'm sure that, in the specifics, our stories are nothing alike. But my story does deal with nanotechnology and how it creates something of a new race of humans.

I so totally want to hear more about this! And I'll share my story idea with you as well. :)

Yay! This one's not too focused on the farther out effects of nanotech, so I'm sure ours are very different :) Mine's more about the short range effects and the differences that will be present in our daily lives.

Ah, yeah. That's a bit different from mine. It's more about the war between the two new races of humans. And it's definitely more long-term. This one takes place about 1000 years in the future.
