Since this pattern provides me with an unexpected opportunity to learn more about fellow citizens, and since I have well and thoroughly learned the hazards of a perceived imbalance in social exchanges lately, here is my required response

Erm, how good are you at dealing with mentally unsound psychopaths, who have the capacity and the intent to destroy anything and everything in their way in order to get what they want…even if what they want doesn’t exist?

...ahem. I'm sorry about that. The short form would be "quite good at dealing with them under certain circumstances."
The "certain circumstances" usually involve some variation on the concept of "assuming that you don't particularly want to keep them alive or regain their sanity," however.
It was, I admit, easier to do when I could just kill them. Now that I need to rip their souls from the hulls of their dying flesh at a precise moment in order to encapsulate it into a shell of crystallized life-energy in order to keep them entrapped enough to prevent them regenerating, it's a bit trickier.
And they don't tend to come out the other side in anything resembling a friendly, cooperative, and communicative state. So you have to find somewhere secure to stash their summon materia. Or, in my case, I tend to keep them in my sock drawer, because Yuffie is much too talented with safes but my sock drawer ranks high on the 'who cares and oh by the way eww' factor...
What were you thinking of?

That's scary...I like it...mmm...it might work. Oh, wait...I'm not sure I want him out of comission exactly, maybe have his sense knocked back into him. I'd do it myself, but I can't guarantee anyone's safety...or rather, that I could do it all on my own.
Hmmm....how to put it, are you familiar with a man named Kahran Ramsus...or formally known as Project 0808191 Ramses? This story could get a little complicated.

Given the whole "project" and ID number as a part of his alternative method of identification, his story sounds as though it may bear certain depressing similarities to my own. I was also an experimental test subject, designed as a living weapon, and I also went mad and turned on my makers as a fairly direct consequense. Trust me when I say I'll believe nearly any story of horror at the hands of a mad scientist in the employ of a power-hungry military. What are his particular details...?

That does sound distressingly similar to my own circumstances -- I was not the rejected copy, but... I do know how the rejected copies of myself suffered for it.
This is certainly a dilemma. On the one hand, we cannot allow him to destroy the city unchecked. On the other, the most effective prison I am aware of involves tearing the soul from the body and encapsulating it in materia, which is a one-way process -- and one I would hate to engage in if he could be redeemable.
And yet reason holds no sway with him? Hardly a surprise; it was of little value to me in my own rampages...
...well. I will, as you say, keep an eye on him. I have only so many eyes, however unless you'd like me to start creating mindless clone puppets again, and I suspect Cloud and Zack would rather object to that -- knowing him better than I, can you let me know if you believe he has been triggered?
