Discovery #1:
I can still make people furious with me, even when I'd thought I was performing a humane deed. Cloud -- the wingless Cloud -- assures me that Zack isn't truly angry with me, but Zack himself hasn't said a word, and the more time passes, the more I worry.
[private to Zack]
...Zack? I didn't mean to make you so angry by warning Rufus of the humiliating doom facing his unprepared apartment and unsuspecting person ...party.
Please tell me we can still be friends...? That we can still work toward being friends, at least? I don't know how angry you are over Nibelheim; I don't really know how angry I am over it either... I'm just... very confused. Even if you're angry, can we try to talk?
I want to trust you; I didn't think you'd threaten to withdraw your friendship for something so trivial ...something like this. But I hadn't thought that you'd turn on me then either, and... please, this time, let's talk before you lift that oversized meat cleaver you call a sword. I swear I'll listen this time. Mother isn't demanding anything. This world doesn't need such desperate reform.
...please?

Discovery #2:
Father Abel's superiors seem to be even less rational than the upper echelons of Shinra. They require more than that their people give of themselves freely for emotional and spiritual support of any who need it -- that much I could have understood.
But they also insist that their people, including Father Abel, swear to be solitary to the point where they cannot accept a lover, not even a single devoted life-partner, and impoverished to the point that they cannot reliably feed themselves.
I cannot do anything to provide him with a life-partner, unfortunately, though he is richly deserving of such a gift.
On the other hand, I believe that there is something we can do to provide him with regular, nutritious sustenance.
Miss Pudding? Would you be willing to assist me with this endeavor?
I assume you can make nutritious food in addition to sugary food, yes?
...And if not, perhaps I could impose upon you to provide him with desserts while we seek someone else to provide meals?
My winged-Cloud bakes, for example, and I've heard that there is an individual who enjoys providing boxed lunches. Or at least, one who doesn't protest overly much as long as the recipient isn't one particular fellow teenager. I'm not quite clear on whether he enjoys it or not... hmm.
I myself am quite good at burning things, though I understand that 'burned' is not usually the intended result...
Note to self: Further investigate the food preparation method known as 'caging.' ...'cagin'?' 'cajun?' Anyway. It does apparently involve intentional carbonization of edible substances...
In the name of fairness, I believe I should also provide assistance. But in the name of the fire codes, I believe I should stay well away from any potentially flammable foodstuffs until I've received more detailed training in the art of subduing battered ingredients. ...Perhaps I should simply begin with providing financial backing for the project.
