Life (or relife) lessons learned in the past few weeks

1. Prevent Cloud from brooding whenever possible. He is far too adept at it.

(1b. So far, accidental kitchen destruction has been the only guaranteed reliable method of producing a smile, and yet he fell back to brooding a few minutes later. Must find a more long-lasting and less scrubbing-intensive alternative.)

(1c. Related to 1 and 1b: Cake components are to be stirred, not assaulted. but it's hardly my fault the informant said 'beaten'.)

2. Civilians (including shopkeepers) are willing to be cooperative even when presented with persuasions that leave them in full possession of unbroken limbs and all the blood they started the conversation with. Even though they have no hierarchy to respond to, they do well with a bit of encourageent and occasional minor destruction of surrounding landscape.

Examples A-C: acquisition of puppy, acquisition of disinfectant wipes (though that was more difficult than it had any reason to be), acquisition of Valentine's gift.

Must further probe this discovery to confirm the initial test results.

Also, chocolate ganache is very tasty when licked off Cloud.

3. Never trust anybody who seems too much like me ...too enthusiastic about acts that most societies consider counterproductive to their continued existence. Muraki is at the top of my list, though there have been unexpected additions. Including the woman who accidentally 'detonated' half the government. Heaven help us if she ever decides to become a terrorist on purpose.

[ooc: sorry if I don't jump into too many new threads with people Seph hasn't already 'met' for a while -- world chewing on brain again, short on available memory space. Will try to skim & occasionally jump in to something new, but the easiest way to 'catch' me is probably to poke me here or on another thread I posted so I get a notification...]
