The Ides of March
Apparently yesterday was the supposedly male equivalent of Valentines day, otherwise known as Steak and a BJ day. Charles and I, however, are modern and dont celebrate the commercialization of love in Feb so I didn't feel bad about missing this 'male equivalent' holiday. If we can manage to not celebrate any holiday that seems to be built on consumer whoring i.e. buying stuff we do. Still it's funny.
Im going to go ahead and tempt fate by saying that this year March hasnt been so bad. March is traditionally the month of some form of disaster for me. If LJ hadnt erased my older posts i would bother giving references. (I do need to figure out how to archive my stuff to my computer)
I really need to get back to the gym.. I havent really slept in three days. Not sure how im still moving really, but I plan to actually make it to sleep tonight early!
I went ahead and took April 10th and 11th off to help Charles move; he has to be out by the 12th i think. I figure people arent really going to be able to help since its the middle of the week but if any of you are feeling industrious after work/school and want to come over give one of us a ring :)
I got a chance to talk to Nicole the other day and since she is pretty set on doing this teach high school biology thing it looks like she might be moving back to orange county next year!!! Nothing is set in stone but if she does get into UCI then there is no way she can drive it from SD county everyday. I figure I should probably get her in touch with Dimitri (at some miraculous time when they both arent busy) so he can at least give her a heads up as to the ways of high school teaching. I think she will do fine, but she seems to have trouble settling on a career field, so hopefully she can at least be more informed before getting in too far. Perhaps Ill see when she'll be up here again and we'll do lunch :P
