Awesome things
Last week I ran a 10 minute mile and then Saturday I ran a 10.67 min mile followed by a two minute walking break and running another mile but this time it took me 13.5 minutes. So yesterday I ran a 9.78 minute mile and then walked another half mile before doing cartwheels and hand stands. Im just really glad Im getting consistently around a 10 minute mile. I cant do much more after that but eventually ill turn the speed into distance. Im also hoping to keep up on my cartwheels and stuff for gymnastics in the fall. It looks like there wont be another one until then and I dont want to forget everything. I should also really stretch more... im really looking forward to Pilates this summer at the ARC. I have to miss the first class (stupid tooth surgery same day) but hey, even 9 instead of 10 weeks for $30 cant be beat :D
I was trying to look up information on this Salvador Dali inspired piece done in Swarovski crystal that I took a picture of in the Swarovski Crystal Worlds (Swarovski Kristallwelten) in Austria

There wasnt much information so in the end I got stuck looking at all the pretties on Swarovski's online shop, namely these two which are almost affordable: Earrings One, Earrings Two
I was originally looking for the info on that picture so I could submit it to the BBC's monthly photo contest. The theme this month is "motion" and given how people have interpereted some of their past themes I figured time which never stops was close enough for "motion." I am also considering this picture of Venice's St. Mark's Square which also turned out well

Last in my list of awesome things is this:
"The 2014 Winter Olympics will be held from February 7 to February 23, 2014. The host city will be elected on July 4, 2007 ... narrowed the field to three candidate cities: Sochi, Russia; Salzburg, Austria; and PyeongChang, Republic of Korea."
!!!Salzburg!!! :: Happy Dance :: I want to go back there. I loved it and if they win the bid they will dump tons of money into making it tourist accomidating which might mean that after things will be even cooler than they were when I was there..
Today I get to leave work early and run errands like getting my tires re-aligned, Yippy!
PS.. I shot the picture that is my icon when I was at the zoo and used picassa to color play with it.. isnt google cool?
