This is a life I'm living.
You know... I really don't post on here very often, anymore. Much to my chagrin, I've also been very inconsistent with writing in my paper journal since I've been home. Unfortunate. I really need to change that.
Still, life is going well. There is nothing monumental to report. I still haven't found a job yet, which is beginning to be somewhat distressing... though hopefully next week will hold greater promise.
My trip to Vegas went down without a hitch. I went with Chris, Taylor, David, and Des. (David being Chris' older brother, and Des being David's wife.) The Battle of the Bands was an adventure, as well. As could only be expected, we didn't have as much time for exploring Vegas as we might have otherwise enjoyed, because most of the time was spent in preparation for the Battleshindig. Taylor and I are sure they were robbed of first place, but third was still an impressive feat on one day of rehearsal. It was a lot of fun to get away for a few days and go hang out with Chris' family. I had the opportunity of meeting his dad for the first time, which was nice. He is very much like Chris. :) It's funny, really.
Anyhow, Thursday marked four months that Chris and I have been dating. It's just interesting. It seems the last four months have passed so quickly. Still, at the same time, I feel I've come so far. I can't even begin to articulate how difficult I found my transition from being single into being in a relationship. I'm just glad Chris had the patience to ride that out with me. Chris and I have also come a long way. It makes me happy and optimistic to see the progress in our relationship.
We are winners. :)
You resember that to-do list I put up a couple of weeks ago...? Most of that still has yet to be done. ;( I know, shameful, isn't it?
· Get a job (working on it)
· Clean room (was doing this tonight... will hopefully finish tomorrow)
· Rearrange/redecorate room (will commence when room has been cleaned)
· Read my books :) (has been delayed until room is attended to :( )
Anyhow, I'm still really excited to redo my room. It's so close! So close! Rawr.
Xander is getting so big! I can hardly believe it. He's such a sweetheart. And still the cutest baby ever. I recently changed the first diaper I'd ever changed in my entire life. No, I never babysat when I was younger. Yes, I am defective.
I now generally only eat once a day. I am very lazy. I should eat more. It would be healthier, I suspect. As it is, I now weigh approximately what I did around the ninth or tenth grade, I believe. I've lost about ten pounds in the last year. About three of that was due to the side effect of a prescription, and the rest, I suspect has been the result of poor eating habits. Oop.
Life is good. I certainly can't complain. I wouldn't want to. I'm happy with where I am and I'm excited for where I'm going. Hopefully everything will work out for the best.
