It hadn't been intended to be. In all honesty, I... hadn't planned to post this, because Steph kissing Bruce is EW EW EW NO GET IT AWAY.
The fic jumped, pretty much fully formed, into my brain as I read the poem. And then it refused to leave. So I wrote it, not planning to post it, and then ended up doing so because I was bored and others I knew told me I should.
Out of curiousity, what specifically are you disagreeing with? I'd love to know what worked and what didn't, and appreciate that you thought it was well-written.
:D You pretty much nailed it on the head with "Steph kissing Bruce" - neverhappenwrongwrongwashoutmybrainnow. That and my admittedly subjective opinion that Tim is the One True Robin and the One True Future!Bat.
Is being Robin necessarily the same as being the future Batman? I mean, yeah, that's how Tim plays it, and I love him for it, but I think the different ways of being Robin are a feature of the history of the role.
Or something. It's not like we all need to settle on one universal interpretation of canon, after all.

Oh nonono, absolutely not! One can be Robin and move on to other things (As Dick and, hell, Jason proved). Tim, however, is doomed. DOOOOMED, I tells ya!
Tim's opinion, I am sorry to say, does not matter.
Just as interestingly, neither does Bats'.
Everything Tim does and says and is just shows him to be more and more Batlike with every passing issue day. Until he develops a certain kind of self-awareness, path of his DOOM is slow but sure.
Tim is the One True Robin as an opinion interests me, because he's nothing like what Tim himself appears to think Robin should be: bright, laughing, impulsive, *young*.
Steph kissing Bruce makes me make horrified faces of NO.
