I -- there are no excuses. None.
I find myself horribly tempted to write various ideas which have been given to me, namely: Batman in Middle-Earth, with Boromir as Robin (Eeeeek, Faramir could totally be Tim. "Little brother". AIGH. Only Boromir has a bit of Jason in him, imo) and the hobbits as Green Lanterns.
At least I don't want to write Superman!Gandalf.
