There are all these little snapshots from canon that says the author knows and loves her fandom, and doesn't mind tweaking its nose a little. And then there is the note-*perfect* Nita (my faaaaaaaaaavorite) and the lovely Kit and the wonderful Carmela and the beautiful Dairine and I just. Okay, I admit it, I betaed and I had a hand in a little of the description, but. She made some of my favorite characters into a band whose music I *badly* want to hear.
(And she made me ship Nita/Kit. This is not a small undertaking; normally they are a genship for me. Here I am smooshyhands *so hard*.)
