Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to everyone!
So, rather than balik kampung on Wednesday noon as originally scheduled, I only managed to leave on Thursday noon. I was alone since the others had gone on, & thoroughly enjoyed myself during the drive. I don't know why, maybe it's 'cos I wasn't on a schedule or anything, but it seemed more relaxed (& faster, surprisingly, since my car can't go fast at all) & at one point I even had the window rolled down & was singing along to Sudirman's Balik Kampung. Yeah, I know. :P The weather helped too; it was mostly bright without being glaring, & it was nice just toodling around.
Reached kampung around 6 - the local supermarket had long long lines still - & fell asleep around 9pm. Up until 8.45am this morning, haha. But it was such a good rest. ♥
I've sampled the kuih we bought for Mum; only two are deemed WTH?? this year. As usual, we're staying home on the first day & will be doing our rounds on the second day. I have a feeling EB will toss me his keys again. 8-)
Other than visiting relatives tomorrow, it should be free & easy for the rest of my stay here, just the way I like it. Time to catch up on my Inception reading, yay! XDD
