I'd told my mom since I'd be working late I'd get dinner for myself, so I stopped at a place near home. Got in, joined a line. This woman in front of me was asking the cashier what so & so is on the menu. The cashier answers her patiently, "This is chicken. That's also chicken."

"What about that then?"

"Chicken."

"And those?"

"Chicken, chicken, chicken, lettuce for the burger, chicken."

"Oh."

There's a pause, which I filled by rolling my eyes, & the guy in the line next to me smirked. Comrades-in-suffering.
