Pandora's Box
When we ask questions we sometimes receive answers we did not want. That does not change their truth. It will, however, change our perspectives and our lives.
How can we live in this world - as it is - knowing that we only matter as a piece of a commercial machine? Where is our opportunity to leave behind the awfulness we unearth? There is none.
Rather than be upset that others do not try to wake up, perhaps we can understand it. We can understand that it is a miserable feeling inside - knowing that we will never be powerful enough to make change happen in a meaningful way. Instead the best we can hope for is to find our own way in the power system and hope that life will become less awful.
