I'm a newbie lurker to this fandom and I've been reading "Purity." I just wanted you to know I'm really enjoying it. There is something about the style that's lyrical and flow-y and I love the way it takes place in the Avatarverse without feeling like someone tried to force it in. We all know wars just don't end (no matter what anyone tries to tell us) and I'm totally sucked in to the idea of a renegade force attempting to rid the world of non-benders.
Anyway, I think you're doing a great job, and I'm looking forward to reading more.

I really don't know how my style comes out, or even how my writing voice sounds, much in the same way your voice might sound funny to you if its been recorded. So reviews like yours are basically my 'voice-recordings' Its really helpful knowing how I sound, because I can't look at my writing with an impartial eye.

I have to admit I looked at the nazis for this one. (and/or death eaters. XD) The idea of the war being just 'over' seemed nutty to me. True, eras of peace can and do happen after major wars, but even with the end of WWII there was the cold-war tensions.
I'm glad you're enjoying that. Plus renegade forces or evil are always great villans when you need them. I'd talk more about the Qing Jie (which does in fact mean purity.) but I'd hate to give something away.
