70 years after the origin story is published, a new head writer takes over the Bat comics and writes a riveting 5 year cross over event based on the day in question. The story seeks to understand the robin's true intent as is it flew into the window. What hidden agenda lurked beneath such a majestic flight and innocent song?

Dick slowly falls into a spiral of insanity as he clearly remembers the robin flying into a lamp (because naturally robins fly into lamps and not vases) which he has just found completely unbroken in the attic. The series concludes with his tragic "death" and rebirth a year later when he remembers it wasn't a robin at all but a grand cayman thrush (Turdus ravidus) which became extinct likely in the 1940s. Dick realizes 1. his lamp helped kill and endangered species 2. his entire career has been wrong due to his incorrect name and 3. having an extinct bird from the 1940s fly into his window doesn't fit the repeated recons of his life into the modern age. To fix it he goes back into time and the whole universe resets itself in another 5 year event involving every title and character DC owns which they call Absolutely Final Definitive Infinite Crisis.

It is not DC's last cross over infinite crisis event.
