Recently [well not really but it wasn't so long ago, so whatever...] I have completed some Awesome Doramas and I feel the need to fan over them a bit, so here goes.... [in no particular order of favoritism...]
Just finished God Hand Teru
I loved this show, especially Teru-sensei. He's like that ditsy character that you have to love and be awed at during his epic moments. It's really a pity it only had six episodes. Wish there were more...
I do wish Kitami-Sensei's character had more, what do you call it, depth, or rather scenes that showed his depth. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, who knows... The ending was also a bit predictable, wish they had done more with it [but then I wish they hadn't just ended it at six, so i'm biased] but otherwise it was a pretty good hospital drama that used quite a bit of medical terms and showed some useful insight into what doctors go through, I can respect that. I also loved the whole hand print thing, but that may only be because I love the supernatural too much, and because I find the idea of a doctor who can save anyone pretty moving... unrealistic, but still moving.
The one that really touched me was IS ~Otoko demo Onna demo nai Sei~
*[I seemed to have unintentionally peeved someone off, forgive me, [did not know that was hot-linking, honestly] so no pic for this awesome drama, oh well, that's life ne... but if you really care, just Google it.*
It was a very touchy subject, but the way they dealt with it was pretty well written [in my eyes anyway]. I love how they showed Haru's journey and the troubles that he had to face due to his 'special' circumstances. I find it was also brave of them to touch on such a situation, especially considering [from what I understand] how the Japanese culture works. But honestly I loved this show, the contradictions between Haru and Miwako. The way Haru fell in love for the first time and I especially loved Leon's character. Though the show moved slow in many ways and certain things could have been portrayed better [but than who am I to judge] I still felt the emotions they meant to convey. But this show is not for the closed minded idiots that think life is all how society paints it as.
The cop drama I was recently introduced to is something that I also seem to have fell for, Tokyo Dogs
This drama was hilarious, I loved the partner relationship between Sou and Maruo. I also felt for Maruo as he fell for Yuki, but than Yuki was only looking at Sou. It was obvious, but still sad and you feel for their situation. I also loved the random referrals to America, especially when Maruo screams out AMERICAN when ever Sou takes out his gun randomly and starts shooting, I love that last scene of the drama! I really enjoyed their banter during investigations, especially when they would go off track. And those badly, yet perfectly timed calls from Sou's mother were priceless to me. They just made me fall for Sou's character even more. I really enjoyed it when he was confronted by the sister's boyfriend who seemed to always be around, annoying Sou. It was so adorably reacted to... definite Oguri Shun fan!
I wold honestly suggest these dramas to any one who will listen [I'm even willing to tie them to a chair to let them watch it, but that's illegal here, so...]
But I have got to give thanx and credit to the awesome site that allowed me the opportunity to watch all these, but I won't name them cause I don't wanna lose their awesomeness...
I really appreciate the fansubbers who take their time to do the subbing. It takes a lot of dedication and risk that demands respect. I really wish I had both the time and full understanding of the language to help them out -_-, but oh well, maybe one day ne...
Bye Bye.
