This is actually a script I'm writing for a friend who wants to turn it into a comic, so this isn't my best writing and it's been simplified A LOT. I'll post the link to the comic when it's started.
Also, sorry for spamming you with nonsense. The Batman fics will start up again eventually.

I’m a fan and it’s fictional
It had started out as a fairly normal day for Matt; coffee and breakfast before class, long bus ride to the college and boring lectures. Granted he had noticed that his textbook had misspelled ‘Phagocyte’ but there had been nothing to indicate that this particular day would be any different than the others. He walked into his favorite café after his third class of the day and took a seat by the door seconds before the shooting started.
“Third time this week, no one panic. Kaiba Corp. is probably just testing something weird,” one of the waiters said calmly. Everyone got up from their seats and crouched on the floor. Matt, unused to this level of calm in what he considered a life or death situation was the last to start moving, which is when things went wrong.
A tall man in a green turtleneck crashed through the door, a gun in one hand the other stretched out and groping in the air. It found Matt.
“No! Let go!” Matt tried to pull away but the man was strong and only pulled him closer.
“Be quiet, Fluffy, this will all be over soon,” the man said soberly, pulling Matt even closer. “Now!” he led the redhead out the door. “This is what’s going to happen! You all put down your weapons down and nothing bad will happen to- Ow! Son of a Bitch!” the man jerked suddenly and they both went crashing in the café’s sign.
“Let him go Saben!”
“You just shot me!” the man - Saben - said indignantly. “No more negotiations, you missed your chance to be my friend,” the man shot several rounds at the police (missing by a lot) and took off toward a black car, Matt in tow. “Keith! It’s time to go!”
“Wait! Please let me go!” Matt did what he could to twist out of Saben’s grasp.
“Stop it you stupid-“ Suddenly they stopped. “…but… Oh for fuck’s sake,” Saben darted into the street suddenly as the light turned green.
“No! Commit suicide by yourself!” Matt almost got away, but the arm with the gun suddenly wrapped around his neck as Saben bent over and grabbed something and ran out of the street again.
“Boss! Not the time for a last minute rescue!” A man shouted out of the window of the car they were running for.
“Shut up and start the engine!” Saben shoved Matt into the back seat and dived in after him. The door closed and they were suddenly moving.
“Let me out! Please I’m just a college student, I’m not important,” Matt pleaded, tearing up.
“Who’s the kid?”
“A nuisance,” Saben pulled something out of his pants pocket, looked at it and, sighing in relief, put it back again. “Do you have any chloroform on you?”
“Chloroform?!” Matt scooted as far away from the other man as he could get.
“Do mammals breathe air?” the other man asked cheerfully, pulling something out of the glove box and passing it back. Saben took it and, looking annoyed, reached for Matt.
“No, stay away from me!” Matt was already pressed against the opposite door and couldn’t go any further.
“Stop being dramatic, you won’t feel a thing.”
Matt woke up on the floor, tired and dizzy. When his head stopped swimming he looked up to see… the bottom of the ocean? He watched a few dozen sea turtles drift lazily by before realizing that he was looking at a really, really big fish bowl.
“Wow…” (chibi moment)
“I see you’re awake now,” a voice said just out of his range of vision. Matt turned to see Saben leaning against a desk with a large, fancy looking computer and poking at a dark spot on his shirt just under his ribs.
“You!” Matt tried to point but found his hands tied behind his back and his feet tied at the ankle.
“Last time I checked,” Saben said agreeably, wincing as he poked again.
“You kidnapped me!”
“I took you as a hostage, it’s totally different,” the man reached into his pants pocket and pulled out something small and green, setting it in a normal sized empty fish bowl on the desk before turning back to Matt. “Now you’ll stay here as my captive until after I’ve destroyed Newd Ominocity. After that I suppose you’ll just have to be my slave,” he waved dismissively and jabbed at a button on the keyboard of his computer.
“Destroy the city?” Matt stared at the man. “Why would you do that?” Saben slammed a fist on the desk, making Matt jump.
“For justice, that’s why!” the man snapped. He winced again and looked down at the spreading dark spot on his shirt.
With a sort of pained look Saben began to lift the front of his shirt, making Matt’s eyes go wide. Certainly he was evil, what with the kidnapping and all, but surely Saben wouldn’t…
“You aren’t going to rape me are you!?” Matt blurted out. Saben stopped and looked at him. “ ’Cause I’m not worth it. Really! I’m awful in bed, just ask anyone!” He scooted to the left, but his tied wrists and ankles wouldn’t let him get far.
“What are you…?” Saben looked down at himself and rolled his eyes. “Don’t flatter yourself, Fluffy, I was injured,” the dark haired man pulled off his shirt, dropping it over the back of his chair and grabbed a handkerchief of his desk, holding it to his bleeding side. “You really ought to be thanking me.”
“What?! You snatched me in the middle of an armed robbery, knocked me out, tied me up and brought me to your secret lair. How is any of that good for me?”
“It’s hardly a secret lair and if I hadn’t grabbed you you’d have probably been shot in the crossfire,” Saben lifted the handkerchief and glanced at his side. It didn’t appear to be bleeding anymore so he dropped the cloth in the nearest waste bin. Saben turned to the computer and tapped a few keys on the keyboard. There was a large green tattoo on the man’s back and Matt tilted his head, trying to sort out what it was. “And if you hadn’t been shot in the crossfire you’d most certainly be killed when I unleash-“
“Is that a turtle?” Matt asked in disbelief. Saben turned around and looked at him, eyes narrowed.
“And if it is?” The tall man asked with a growl. Matt realized his mistake and scooted back as far as the binds would let him.
“Oh, I d-didn’t mean anything by it!” he insisted. “It’s a badass turtle. It suits you.” Saben only raised an eyebrow at him. “Er. You know, turtles are evil… what with the red-eared snapper invading the territory of-“
“Excuse me, villain here,” Saben interrupted with a look. “I’m trying to be menacing, do you mind?”
“Oh, sorry. Please continue.”
“Thank you,” the words dripped out of Saben’s mouth with all the venom of a cobra. Matt winced and looked appropriately frightened. “As I was saying, if you’re a good little boy and don’t bother me too much, I might let live to be my slave when this is all over.”
“Um… just how long before “this is all over”?” Matt asked hesitantly. Saben gave him an annoyed look, making Matt hunch over and try to be small.
“When it’s all said and done? Probably 6 months, but-“
“Six months?!” Matt forgot about being small and kicked out his legs. Saben was standing far enough away not to be hit as Matt started flopping around on the floor in a full tantrum. “I have a paper due in two weeks! I was getting my degree in biology! I CAN’T AFFORD ANY SET BACKS!” Saben stepped over him as though Matt were a particularly unruly puddle in his path and headed toward the door.
“Well. Sucks to be you, then doesn’t it?” Saben stepped through the door and closed it as the comment registered in Matt’s mind.
“AAAAUUUURRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
