I don't want it to be over...

So it's like, past 3am Spain time and I just rolled back into my hotel room after making sure young averita  made it back to her hotel safely (I'm kind of in mama bear mode right now). I've been awake non-stop for what has been the best 24 hours of my LIFE. Seriously, I have never had so much fun as I have with my fellow fangirls, not just at the con, but before, in-between and afterward. I've crossed a bunch of names off my "must meet someday" list and met quite a few that I had never known at all before. And I would absolutely hang out with any of them again at the drop of a hat.

I'll be posting my pics later this week after I've culled through some of them. I have seen a few people mention that there isn't much talking about the con by the people here, but it's not because we're holding back. It's because we're all going almost 24/7! A lot of people either don't have their computers here or their hotel wireless is spotty (which we're finding out is very common everywhere). I myself will not go to sleep tonight since I have to head to the airport at 8am for my 10:15 flight out. I still need to wash the ungodly funk of stale deodorant and cigarette smoke off my body from the various eateries and bars we've visited. Oh, and shove my crap into a suitcase.

To say a few things...the vids out there of the frakstache, the kiss, the dancing...yeah, they're awesome. I can vouch completely for them. Best. Con. Ever. Supposedly there will be a DVD at some point of the panel highlights, so those will most definitely be on it. I got a ton of pics of it all. They did limit us today at all of the panels as to how long we could take pics, so there won't be a huge amount like my Dragon*Con dump. But trust me, they're beyond words.

I'll do a semi-full report of things when the fog clears from my brain. But seriously, I wish more people could have experienced this. Not only were Mary and Eddie at their absolute best...kind, gracious, thought provoking and not to mention generally awesome...but the people who put this con together and worked so hard are to be commended. Truthfully, none of us really thought it would come together at all, but they pulled it off amazingly. Again, I'll talk about this more later on.

Anyway, I get home tomorrow night and go back to work Tuesday morning. This weekend has been incredible and will go with me to my grave as one of those things that, looking back on it all, I will never quite believe that it happened in my boring life.

Until later.
