Fandom 2005 Meme!
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
Eh, I don't really think about it. Though I did promise myself I'd finish LSW and, well, didn't.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2005?
Mal/Simon. Man, that did not even register for me until a month or so back. In fact, back then, Firefly was just a show I really liked. I never really bothered with fic at all then.
And Doctor Who. Because yes, I'm a newbie. I'd seen the odd episode pre-Nine, but never cared until Christopher Eccleston offered Billie Piper his hand and told her to run. And then an obsession was born.
What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest.
Of Head Girls, Hot Young Pieces of Man-Flesh and Sex in the Stacks. It's really silly, and probably not my best, but I just wanted to write a fic that was about being sixteen, not the life-or-death love affairs that you seem to find with most HP fics nowadays.
Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?
Five people that Jack could have fallen in love with but didn't. Because it's the mother of all crossovers, and I found it unlikely that people would get it. But they liked it, which made me happy.
I also wrote a threesome fic, which was a bit scary and new, and I learnt that he/he/she gets a bit confusing!
