Sci-fi evening!
In the end, there were eight of us watching Firefly this evening, three of whom had seen it before (me, American!Diana and Tim), four who were complete Firefly virgins (Diana, Pip, Denise and Nathan) and then notcollins who had seen Serenity but not the show.
American!Diana and I were slashing everybody left, right and centre. Tim fell asleep, Laura seemed to like it, Diana still needs convincing, and the other three were only watching it because I bribed them with apple crumble and didn't really care one way or another.
Then Diana and I made everybody watch Stargate (Window of Opportunity) which the boys whinged at but we giggled all the way through because we are losers and know the episode by heart.
Diana and I are planning to spend one evening this week watching lots of shippy SG eps.
I keep having DVD nights and having people round to our house because I cannot afford to go out clubbing. Woe is my life. I am so poor.
Luckily, Mellors have asked me back for the Christmas holidays. Yay money. Last year I even got a Christmas bonus, but I doubt I will be so lucky this year.
Going to Cardiff on December 2nd for la_de_Da_De_Da's birthday. I am very excited, although a little worried it may bankrupt me. However I also have this sad, vague, little hope that I will spot David Tennant or Billie whilst I am there.
Finally, HAPPY THIRD BIRTHDAY MY LIVEJOURNAL! Yup, this journal was created in the early hours of November 21st, 2002.
