6 Week long fiberglass project/prototype/commission is done!

Took it to the UPS Store to get it boxed up yesterday! The box was 24"x24"x60"ish, took two hours for them to package properly, and cost about $88. Overall, I'm pretty sure we've spent over $500 on this thing, not including the $100 a day I was losing by taking days off of my real job to work on it.  I tried to keep track for a while, but towards the last couple weeks we were still buying parts and paint, and I don't know if they got added to the total. We took the box to the FedEx freight depot, since the client wanted it shipped LTL with their account number (yay for us not having to pay $300 to ship!), tagged it, filled out the bill of lading, and said goodbye to a project that we put well over 200 hours into. Hopefully, I'll be able to upload pics without them being all NDA bout it. I haven't signed anything yet, but they said that if they like the first piece and are ready to talk about me producing more pieces, I'd have to sign an NDA. At this point I could go either way with getting the job or not, I'll at least be able to say I've got a piece sitting in their office, all the employees at that office will see it, and video game journalists who visit the building and post the usual "Look at all the cool stuff xxxxxxx has in their lobby/office" articles will see it. Overall, I'm happy with how it turned out, we made some changes, and a few things didn't look perfect, but goddamn does it look good! I have some downtime to clean the house and then I'll be back in the garage working this weekend to make some stuff to throw on ebay hopefully for enough money to build the vacuform table an get my ass out of debt.
