Sure, you aren't BUYING them, you're just donating money to charity (probably one run by the Church) and recieving indulgences in return. This reminds me of when my father tried to get his first marriage annulled so he could marry Mom. They were told that, if they donated a certain amount to the Diocese, he could have his annullment. Good to see the Church has changed so much since those fun old Dark Ages...
