Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars ... trailer and clip

Jul 11, 2009 20:35

Well, here in the States, we're getting "Torchwood: Children of Earth" (looks seriously epic and flail-worthy) on the 20th and "Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead" on the 26th (looks distinctly "Pitch Black" in tone and style) and "Being Human" on the 27th (finally; that's the most painful-looking werewolf transformation I've ever seen -- and one of the noisiest). Granted, I've only ever seen the Pilot ep of "Being Human" and the actual series is a significant reboot, but it'll help fill the void left by "Sanctuary" and its hiatus. Now if we could just get the rest of "Robin Hood" and "Ashes to Ashes" I'd be a happy girl until October, lol.

But on to the actual point of my post :) The next Doctor Who movie set to air in Britain is "Doctor Who: the Waters of Mars" and, since I haven't seen these posted by any of my f-listers yet:

The official BBC trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fc9XiZ2A4xk

A 1-minute clip from the movie: (this one's a little spoilery) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKnoXkrYcwI

Cool side-note: "Torchwood: Children of Earth" and "Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead" are the first of their respective series to be filmed and broadcast in HD. I'm amped over that because the eye-candy factor's always been so high even in regular definition. Hopefully this will be a trend that continues. Seriously shiny stuff :)

Random factoid: The average American eats 12 pounds of chocolate a year. The average citizen of Switzerland eats 24 pounds a year...
