I sometimes wish my muses would just go away...
You know, I roll with a lot of what the muses throw at me:
* Captain Jack in a shock-collar that zaps him every time he tries to flirt? Definitely has comic potential.
* Henry ODing on valium after “Revelations”? Good vehicle to explore his feelings and emotions.
* Blair trying to seduce Jim using Power Point? Actually the kind of thing he might do under the right circumstances...
* Will goes on acid-trip at 16, nearly gets kicked out of college, and is rescued by his “guardian angel”? Actually pretty sweet.
* Will decides to inject Source Blood and going off the deep end? Not comfortable to write, but I’m certainly giving it a go.
* Sanctuary femmeslash? Well, I’ve never written femmeslash before so it’ll be an interesting exercise and getting inside a psychic’s headspace at a time like that could be pretty fascinating.
* Will getting sexually harassed by Druitt? It’s in the final editing process as we speak.
And you don’t even want to know what they’ve been having Will and Dana “Dubya” Whitcomb (to distinguish her from the game’s Dana Scully) get up in the role-play. Yeah, that sentence looks so wrong, doesn’t it? Will and Dubya actually sleeping together would be considerably less insane than what those two characters are doing with other characters in the game behind the scenes.
Guess my point is that I kind of let my muses get away with literary murder on a routine basis. But this time, they’ve gone too far. They are demanding happy AU Watson!verse karaoke!fic...
