grr. i missed the end of the fight!
So I'm watching the UFC match from the other night when my DVR decides to flip out. Chuck The Iceman Liddell vs Tito Ortiz! Frelling EPIC!!! And I missed the last five minutes of the match. *grr*
I'll say two things about the fight, though:
1) The Iceman seriously needs to consider retirement. Losing his touch in a bad way. If he'd pressed even a little more, he'd have had a TKO victory 4 minutes into Round One. I don't know if he was too dazed to realize it or if he made the mistake of taking pity on Ortiz, but it was a pretty huge lapse of judgment.
2) Ortiz may be a complete punk, but he gets definite props for going the distance in a mostly standing-up with Liddell. Considering that his usual strategy is to take it to the mat as fast as possible, he really took a lot of punishment and didn't let it slow him down one bit. Very impressive.
