just wanted to remind any of my f-listers dealing with the heat wave to stay indoors if possible (light, airy clothes and lots of rest and shade otherwise) and to stay hydrated either way. My father and my stepmother have farms in southern Ohio and southeastern Kentucky and southwestern Virginia, and in all three places, it was SO wet this spring, they couldn't plant. It's the first time in years they don't have a garden. One of the farms has orchards, and even the trees didn't do well.
And now, of course, the heat. No good produce up there, and we're stuck in a drought down here, with the same results.
Could be a very tough winter for people, I'm afraid.

i'd mind this weather less if we were used to it in this part of the country but, honestly, we're kind of ill-equipped for it and the air quality's been shit lately which kind of sucks for asthmatics like me *complains some more*
