i survived (brief pic!spam)
So, survived the May 2011 tornado outbreak with nothing worse than a sleepless night to show for it. Well, that and the experience of clocking in for work looking like a wet rat:
on the upside, every storm-cloud comes with a rainbow. saw this walking out of work tonight and the pic's not great but it really tickled me
also, when your kitty is freaking out over the tornado sirens blaring nearby, sharing your mint tea with her will definitely mellow her out:

and, to counter-balance the wet krat pic, a halfway decent cell-phone pic of me:
You know what the worst part of the local storms, tornadoes, and destructive winds was? Two eps of The Big Bang Theory got preempted in favor of comprehensive weather coverage *pouts* Heather and Eric saw a herd of white-tail deer outside their house tearing ass away from the funnel cloud but that's about as exciting as it got other than watching poor Spider freak out
"So You Think You Can Dance" started again tonight and I'm already loving it (as per usual), even though I only saw bits and pieces. Recorded it and will watch the whole ep this weekend. Loving the contortion dancers and the gliding guys. They're pretty amazing. And, of course, secretly abnormals without bones or joints *nods wisely* I know it's reality programming and therefore something I generally shun, but it focuses so much on skill, creativity, and teamwork that I can't hate it.
Okay, off to bed now. Work in the morning. I'm fine other than my allergies being bad and my joints being stiff. How's everyone?
