Going by hits/kudos on AO3, it's I'm Your Man with The Third Time coming in strong on the second place.
My best story this year: It's a draw between...
broke off a dark twig because it's a fic I've wanted to write since I first saw the movie and I'm really pleased with Gretel's pov and the femdommy power dynamics and authenticity of some of the smaller details
OR
I'm Your Man because it's also a fic I wanted to write since I saw the movie, and I managed something resembling a spy plot, because the switching pov and the switching power dynamics worked out like I wanted them to.
Hardest story to write:
broke off the dark twig because of researchy bit, I'm Your Man because of 'must actually make plot hold water' reasons
Easiest story to write:
Make Your Own just poured out of me after the movie. One of those that demanded to be written.
Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
Idk... I thought i don't want to hear sad songs anymore might get more attention given how popular the fandom and the threesome was, but then again a) I'm a few years late (as usual) and b) a complete unknown in the fandom
Similarly, ten years ago put another dime in the jukebox, baby would've gotten much more traction. N'aww *pats the fic on the head*
I should maybe put Make Your Own here because it has almost no hits/kudos but considering it's for a relatively unknown movie I'd never heard of until I accidentally watched it on TV I think it's appreciated exactly as much as I expected it to be! :D
Most fun story to write:
All the Character Sketches maybe. I wrote them all in an evening, drunk on vodka, while
pushkin666 gave me characters and monitored on IM to ensure I didn't pass out. Not Only for Emergencies was also fun
Fluffiest story:
Tactile Language is pretty fluffy, as is Summer Wine and Morning After. Oh, Simple Things! It has hot chocolate and scarves.
Most angsty story:
All the Character Sketches are just a mix of angsty and overly poetic language. I blame the vodka.
Oh, in bloom was pretty angsty.
Sexiest story:
All my long ones had some sexytiems...

"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
I didn't write anything really bizarre this year... Maybe it's broke off a dark twig because hetcest? Oh wait, no, The Year of the Scavenger because of dark!Sam going over the edge and taking everyone with him.
Biggest Disappointment:
I had one belligrent commenter on a ficlet who disagreed with my characterisation. Just... why would you bother?
Not enough poetry, not enough original fic.
Biggest Surprise:
That I finished two longer (for me) stories. That I wrote and arted het and enjoyed it so much. I guess I was also surprised by how easy enthusiastic The Man from U.N.C.L.E. fandom was about one tiny ficlet.
A really happy surprise is also that a lovely person is translating I'm Your Man into Chinese and whilst I've had stories translated before, this is the first time I've worked this closely with the person doing them to get the exact meaning of phrases and wording across and it is so humbling that they're taking the time to check with me and involve me in the process.

Ahahaha, duuuuuude. Okay, so, I'm hopefully gonna churn out some ficlets (and icons!) for
fandom_stocking . I'm also thinking of signing up to
fandomtrumpshate. It's not fic, but I will sign-up to do art for
smallfandombang again because that's a thing I do.

dreamersdare and I are looking to resurrect our little writing challenge so something for that. I do have a half-finished Eddie Brock/Venom fic for one of the prompts. I'm probably going to dabble in more new fandoms, and also write more character sketches cos those were really fun to do. I don't really have a specific story percolating at the moment, and all my other concrete writing plans are about academic or poetry writing... Oh wait, there is this one wincest fic with fairies and pie that I may try to finish..
