Happy Shrove Sunday. pushkin666 and I have made Finnish laskiaispulla (shrove buns). Traditional version calls for almond paste with the whipped cream but as I'm not fond of that, we went with strawberry jam which is an entirely acceptable variation. Om nom.

those look wonderfully well-baked but I have to agree here, i vastly prefer marzipan to strawberry. :)
