I have no idea why it won't put spaces in Rich Text all of a sudden but it's annoying the crap out of me too.

omg yes this! what the actual fuck lj, i copy-paste via notepad already because i know word formatting is too much to handle. Also, I was just now making some amendments to an old fic and it deleted all of the header, like it was there on rich text edit box, but it wasn't on the html edit, and it sure as hell wasn't in the actual post.

I can only get things looking right if I do everything in Rich Text and then switch to the HTML editor before I hit Post. Anything else and it either smashes the whole thing together or deletes whole chunks of it. I don't know what they did but it's the first time I've ever not been able to just copy/paste/post.

i like rich text editor a lot and ideally would like to copy-paste from word, but the word formatting is too messy and carries over hidden stuff that can't be changed. i can do basic html edit and know where to go for the more complicated stuff, but i just don't have the time or the patience usually.
