Here is the brief update of what you would have learned from the other stories.

TOP - is the Alpha werewolf that is over all the other Alphas in Asia. While he does have a pack of his own, he considers any Asian werewolf under his care. He is also dominate enough that he can command every other Alpha in Asia. There is no one that he has ever met that has been able to command him.

Ji-yong is known as a Quieter. He is half wolf, half witch and that unique combination gives him a very powerful tool. He is the only thing that can give a werewolf true peace, a rest that puts their Beast side (basically their wolf side with all their instincts and violent tendencies) to sleep. In the same way that he can give peace he can give a wide variety of emotions. More importantly, werewolves feel incredibly driven to protect a Quieter. If there is something wrong a werewolf will literally tear the place apart until it 'fixes' things for the Quieter. This can be very dangerous. Add to that power that Ji-yong is mentally unstable and you have a very dangerous situation.
