Of Blood and Brooms
Chapter Six
“Pack your shit, we are leaving,” Heechul snarled. He could read the anger in his Maker’s form, but he could also see the subtler things, such as a hint of jealously and hurt.
“Heechul, what are you jealous of?” he asked softly.
The vampire froze and fixed him with a stare so powerful that he would have been terrified if he hadn’t been able to read the underlying feelings in it. Then Heechul’s face softened and he sighed. “I forget sometimes that you understand every language not simply the spoken,” he murmured as he carried a bag to a large chest of drawers.
“What is it?” he asked again, worried this time.
Heechul turned to him and cupped his face with such gentleness that it startled him. “Do not fret my child. At some point every vampire leaves their Maker if they live to be old enough. It is simply time for me to do so. You are still too young to understand this.”
He snorted at that. Ten years he had been a vampire and that was more than enough to understand most of what it meant to be what he was. Yet he knew Heechul was much older than he could even imagine and only appeared somewhat human because he longed to remain that way unlike most of the vampires his age. “You’re hungry. Eat,” he murmured, tilting his head and offering his neck.
“Later,” Heechul’s promise didn’t reach his eyes and the vampire turned back to the drawers and began pulling stuff out to stuff in his bag.
He didn’t say anything for a moment, simply watched the man who had created him yet seemed to suffer more than any of them combined. “I’ll go tell Kibum,” he said softly.

“I want you to take them with you,” Jay said sternly.
“I don’t need your pity,” Heechul snarled in anger, but his body spoke otherwise.
“Heechul,” Jay murmured. Lighting fast he darted forward and captured Heechul with an arm around his waist and the other against his cheek. “I always knew this day would come.” The older vampire leaned forward and pressed his lips to Heechul’s.
He had seen many kisses and things much more sexual then a simple meeting of lips, but he never thought he would ever see something quite as intimate as the contact between the two. Heechul’s body leaned into Jay’s just enough to display a longing and a craving that Jay returned in the way he gently cradled the vampire closer.
“Take them. I know you are fond of them, and they will miss you if you do not,” Jay whispered against Heechul’s lips.
“I thought I was incapable,” Heechul griped much like a child.
“You are.” Jay chuckled and nipped at his lip drawing blood which he immediately licked away. “But you are fair and smart. You will make a good Master. They will come to no harm in your care. I give them to you freely.”He released Heechul and stepped back, leaving the vampire to stare at the two females that he had mentioned. Heechul appeared to be upset and burdened at the idea to the naked eye, but he could read a relaxed sort of joy in him at the idea that they would be his.
“Fine, if the two of you would like to choose to freely come with me, you may make that choice,” Heechul snapped, extending an arm to each. Neither young woman waited a moment before stepping forward and biting into his flesh. They only drank for a moment, enough to really get a taste for their new Master and then, first one then the other, presented their necks for Heechul to do the same. When he was finished he turned a look of irritation on Jay. “That was playing dirty,” he grumbled.
Jay smiled. “They are yours now Heechul. If you starve, they do as well. None of them are strong enough to stand on their own and they will die without you.”
Heechul growled unhappily and resettled the only bag he had chosen to take with him. “They will not come to harm under me.”
“I thought as much,” Jay replied, sounding satisfied.
Heechul glanced to Jungmo, who was standing beside Jay and smiling faintly as if he knew something they didn’t. The vampire looked as though he wanted to say something, but he spun on his heel and stormed back to stand beside Kibum.
“Yesung,” Heechul muttered, irritation still carrying in his voice. “This might be a strange way of travel for you. Please try not to throw up.”
He only had a moment to process what that could possibly mean before Heechul turned to face his new females. “Sooyoung, get us out of here,” he muttered.
She nodded and closed her eyes. He only had a moment to wonder at it before everything blurred and disappeared.
▪▫▪☼▪▫▪
Heechul looked around the large house as if he was unsatisfied. “I don’t like it,” he muttered.
Hyoyeon, the other female that he wasn’t quite yet accustomed to, walked through a wall effortlessly and then back into the room they were standing in. “There are many rooms here, closed off with no doors,” she informed Heechul.
He didn’t like the girls, they seemed to have a lack of personality to him, but Heechul enjoyed them and perhaps he could see something he couldn’t through his Gift. Still they acted too much like vampires for his liking, especially when he was used to Kibum and Heechul who were almost human seeming.
“It’s lonely,” Kibum murmured.
“You can’t know that,” Heechul accused. Kibum offered Heechul a simple look that dared him to challenge the statement.
Heechul threw up his hands and turned to look at his other child, “The next thing I know you will be telling me the house says it is lonely.”
“Not really,” he said with a grin. “Well it does say that but it also says a lot about other things. There are stories here.”
“I don’t like it. We are leaving,” Heechul declared. The girls sighed.
Kibum looked longingly at a wall with its peeling wall paper, and the expression of longing his body carried was something he hadn’t seen before. It was most likely Kibum’s body language and not his dislike of traveling through teleportation that made him speak up, “I’m not going anywhere.”
“Yesung?!” Heechul growled, not used to being disobeyed.
“I like this house. Kibum likes this house. The girls like this house,” as he was speaking he looked over Heechul, “You even like this house. You just don’t want to stay because once you quite moving you have to figure out how to actually run a seethe and that frightens you.”
Fear was almost more dangerous than anger, but as Heechul moved across the room to him, he wasn’t unnerved by it. Not even when Heechul had him pinned against a wall by the throat did he flinch from it. “Jongwoon, you do not know of what you speak,” Heechul growled dangerously.
“Don’t I?” he countered, letting himself hang limply.
“No,” Heechul replied firmly. Then he abruptly released the young vampire and turned to take in the room at large. “I change my mind, we stay here. Kibum get someone to remodel this place, I’m not living in it like this,” he ordered before he swept out of the room.
“You’re lucky you are his favorite,” Hyoyeon told him in clipped tones. “That sort of disrespect will get anyone destroyed.” He highly doubted Heechul would destroy someone on the grounds of disrespect alone, but he kept that to himself.
▪▫▪☼▪▫▪
“Stupid vampires,” he muttered, knowing he really had no room to speak since he himself was one. At least he belonged to a seethe that had adjusted with the times instead of being hindered by them. Watching Heechul collect cars and other pieces of technology as they were designed still amused him. They would make any collector jealous, since they had been around when they first were made and were still easy to obtain.
He much preferred to be in the seethe, not wandering the streets during the night, especially not when it was becoming increasingly dangerous for their existence, not that he had ever been the mass murdering type. He preferred the more subtle approach of taking a Pet to feed from along with a few other humans and providing for them until their short human lives ended. Money was no object to him, since he had existed before the stock market had, and Heechul had been smart enough to make them all invest.
His most recent Pet however, had asked to be allowed to return to her family and spend the remainder of her human life with them. He couldn’t begrudge the eighty year old woman that luxury, and he let her go. It wasn’t as if there were not plenty of humans to feed from in the seethe. A Pet was a luxury, not a necessity, but he missed having one so much so that he had begun eyeing Kibum’s newest little Pet.
The young man his fellow vampire had set his sights on was terrified of all vampires for reasons he had never managed to work out of him, but he could read the fear in the boy’s body. Still he hadn’t been able to resist trying to interact with the boy, which frightened him, angering Kibum in return, and making Heechul irritated with the whole situation.
Heechul’s solution was to kick him out and order him not to return without a human of his own, no matter how long that took. It was nice to have his Maker’s vote of confidence that he wouldn’t cause trouble while out on his own, even if it had taken a few hundred years to get it.
He moved away from the center of town, not caring for the business of it even after all these years and found himself walking beside a quiet river. Human scent was everywhere, normal for such a populated place, but the view was still nice. The river curved away from the center of a city, a small bridge providing easy passage from one side to the other for the humans and he thought of avoiding the needless construction all together.
Memories still lived in him of a bridge lifetimes ago and he never cared to go under one again. Although he could hardly regret the way things had turned out for him. Turning his body, so that he was angled away from the river he moved to make a wide loop around the object and back again. Just as he was nearly past it his sharp senses noticed a body, its heartbeat sluggish.
It was a child of no more then its teen years, though much too thin and frail to look properly human. Its limbs were wrapped around itself trying to keep itself warm no doubt, but with the way it didn’t even seem to have the strength to shiver, he didn’t think it would be long before its heart ceased to beat. He wondered, as he crouched beside it, if this is what he had looked like when Heechul had found him. Then, as gently as he could, he lifted the frail human into his arms and carried it back towards the seethe.
▪▫▪☼▪▫▪
“You were supposed to find a Pet, not a charity case,” Heechul muttered, but he could tell his Maker was amused.
“Does he remind you of someone?” he asked, smiling down at the sleeping human who had awoken long enough to accept a hearty broth and some water before falling back into unconsciousness.
“No,” Kibum snorted. “You already had stars in your eyes when Heechul brought you home. One little bun and you were his.”
It was an old argument and the affection in the vampire’s voice kept him from taking any offence. “Don’t you have a Pet to attend to, or is he too busy being scared of you.”
“He is fine,” Kibum snarled suddenly defensive.
“Enough,” Heechul snapped, and Kibum settled immediately. Their Maker sighed, “What is it with this family and charity cases.”
▪▫▪☼▪▫▪
“You should just get it over with already,” the soft voice of the human would have startled him from his reading, if he hadn’t heard the breathing of it change several minutes ago.
“How are you feeling?” he asked flipping a page in the novel he was working on.
“Is it so much to ask that if you are going to rape me you just get it over with? I’m dying anyway, you might as well get in your fun while you can.” The casual way the human said the words angered him, but he could hear the underlying fear that the human was trying to cover.
“You aren’t dying. Don’t be melodramatic. There is soup in the warmer beside the bed if you are hungry,” he informed the young man, not moving from where he was reading still. It took a moment but he heard the clink of dishware being moved, signaling the man was eating. “You may call me Jongwoon or Yesung. Whichever you prefer is fine.”
There was silence in the room and he waited a minute or two before saying anything further. “It is considered polite to offer the man that brings you into his home and nurses you back to health your name at least,” he pointed out.
“This is like a bad drama,” the human muttered and he couldn’t help snort lightly at that one. “And let me guess you are a vampire.”
“If I was I would be curious as to how you knew that,” he said mildly, turning another page even though he had ceased reading when the human had awoken.
“Come on, this room has no windows and you carried me to it. Obviously this is your room, since you are sitting there like you own it and you knew I was awake before I said anything which means that you had to have heard the slightly change of breathing a human makes when awaking since I know I don’t give any signs other than that. You are either a vampire or some other thing with super hearing, but I am going with vampire,” the human said calmly and he had to fight the urge to turn and see the expression on this human’s face.
He closed his book and placed it softly on the table as the only warning to the human before he rose moving with all the speed a vampire could muster. He knew to the human it appeared as if one moment he was in his chair and the next he was sitting on the bed watching the small human intently. To his credit the human barely startled at the sudden move and managed to bring the spoon full of soup to his mouth without losing any. The edge of fear was outlined in his shoulders, but so was courage and the vampire found that he rather liked that.
Calmly the human rested the spoon on the small side table and leaned back. “Well let’s get this over with vampire,” he said leaning back and tilting his head to the side.
He could hardly resist leaning forward and licking a line up the human’s neck from shoulder to jaw. The human shuddered faintly at the touch, but everything his senses were picking up told him that it was flavored with hints of arousal, not terror. Interesting. He nipped lightly against the soft skin, careful not to let his fangs pierce through it.
“That would most certainly kill you,” he breathed against the human’s skin before pulling back.
A flash of disappointment fluttered across the human’s face and he couldn’t exactly pinpoint what exactly had caused it. “I will settle for a name for now and save your blood for later.”
The human regarded him for a moment before muttering, “Ryeowook,” and picking the spoon up again.
▪▫▪☼▪▫▪
“This is amazing,” Ryeowook muttered in wonder as he turned looking around the room and the ones connected to it. “How do you have an entire studio in your basement.”
“We had some renovations done when we first moved in. You sing?” he knew the question was a stupid one, as he had heard the little human humming on a number of occasions and knew he was musically gifted. However he would do just about anything to distract the young man at this point.
“I used to, I mean not professionally or anything but at school, before,” Ryeowook didn’t finish his thought as his fingers moved eagerly over the equipment. The shift of his arms caused the oversized shirt to slip off one of Ryeowook’s shoulders bearing too much flesh for his liking, again. The fabric smell lightly of Heechul and he had no doubts that his Maker was getting great amusement out of conspiring with Ryeowook to torture him.
They might as well have hung a neon glowing arrow pointing directly at Ryeowook’s neck and the blood within with how they had been displaying it the past few days. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to drink from the human, he did perhaps a bit too much, but Ryeowook’s body weight wasn’t high enough for him to feel comfortable with doing so. Not only was Heechul not helping the situation, but Ryeowook himself seemed fascinated with trying to get the vampire that had essentially rescued him to drink from him.
When he had offered to return the young human home, Ryeowook had laughed and told him in both words and body language that he would kill himself before returning to that hell. He hadn’t worked anything else out of the human on that matter and had finally stopped trying. Heechul would probably never forgive him for a bloody killing of a few humans anyway, so it was better that he never have a reason.
There was a fire in Ryeowook that drew him to the man in ways he didn’t quite understand. It wasn’t the same as what had drawn and still kept him connected to Heechul, although he could hardly put a name to that bond either. Instead it was something subtle, yet powerful all at the same time, and he was beginning to wonder if it had anything to do with wanting to drink the young man’s blood anymore.
“You are welcome to use anything you would like here,” he told Ryeowook and the man turned to face him, suspicion written in the lines of his body.
“Why?”
“Why what?” he asked, not completely certain what the problem was.
“Why bring me into this house? Feed me and care for me? Why offer me music?” he asked trying to hide the pain in his expression that the vampire would be able to see no matter how hard he tried.
He stepped forward, closing the distance between them. “I thought that would be obvious,” he murmured reaching out and dragging a finger from Ryeowook’s jaw down to his exposed shoulder.
“You refuse to drink from me,” Ryeowook countered, clearly unhappy with that.
“I’m just waiting for you to put on some more weight, once you do I plan to drink from you very deeply,” he told the human his voice low. His fingers ghosted over the exposed pale neck and as expected Ryeowook’s body shuddered beneath them. “But first you will enroll in school. I like my lunch educated.”
He had been waiting for the right time to broach the subject of Ryeowook’s continued education and this had seemed like as good as any. Much to his displeasure the man stiffened and pulled his body away from his reaching fingers. “No,” Ryeowook said with such force that he was fairly certain even Heechul wouldn’t know what to do with it.
▪▫▪☼▪▫▪
“I will make you a deal,” Ryeowook said softly as he padded barefoot into his bedroom. The human was wearing another of the low cut shirts hanging off his shoulder that made him want to both thank and kill Heechul for.
“I don’t make deals with my food,” he replied, flipping the station on the television with his remote control.
“I don’t remember actually ever being your food,” Ryeowook snapped and there was hurt there, underlying the aggression. The human moved in front of the vampire and then proceeded to climb on his lap, something which he could have stopped at any time. He had no idea why he didn’t. “I will make you a deal,” Ryeowook repeated after he was settled on the vampires lap facing him with a leg off to either side. “Something I want for something you want.”
“And what will you give me for this thing you want?” the vampire asked his hands settling on Ryeowook’s legs to make certain the human couldn’t fall, or at least that is what he told himself.
“I will enroll in the local high school and I will sing for you,” Ryeowook offered.
“No,” he replied instantly repelled by the idea. “If you sing it is for you, because you want to. Never for me. You are not my song bird kept in a cage. You are free to go whenever you want.”
“Is that what you were?” Ryeowook asked honestly, his eyes searching the vampire’s face for something.
“No,” he said gently. “Heechul never clipped my wings. I simply had nowhere else to go, so I stayed.”
“Isn’t that the same thing?” Ryeowook challenged.
“No,” he said gently, sliding a hand up Ryeowook’s leg and then back down in a soothing motion. “If you were to leave here, where would you go?” Ryeowook said nothing. “I was the same. I don’t hold you here anymore then I was held, but out of all the choices we had, this was the best.”
“Heechul drank from you,” he responded bitterly and the vampire couldn’t deny that the jealousy was cute.
He chuckled lightly. “I slit my wrist and gave him no choice, then I threatened to do it again.” Immediately Ryeowook’s mind began turning over ideas in it and he growled softly. “I will make you a deal Ryeowook. I will drink from you on my terms, and if I choose to turn you in the future it will be by mutual agreement not because you forced my hand. If you can’t agree to that then you can leave now.”
“You mean I can’t do what you did?” Ryeowook countered.
“I made him drink from me because he was wasting away to nothing and refused to drink, but I knew he couldn’t refuse me. He chose to change me, knowing it was what I desperately wanted, so that I could remain with him and Kibum forever,” he explained trying to control his temper.
“Fine,” Ryeowook snapped. “But only if you agree to drink from me right now.”
“If I am ever kidnapped you are not allowed to negotiate for my release,” the vampire told him with an amused smile, letting his anger at the human fade.
“Why not?” the human asked crossly.
“Because you would end up getting me shot.”
“It couldn’t kill you anyway.”
“No but it would hurt like a bitch.”
“For a vampire you are pathetic.”
“For a human you have no self preservation,” the vampire countered. Ryeowook scowled and said nothing. “Why are you so intent on getting bitten by me?”
“Does it matter?” Ryeowook challenged.
“Not really,” he replied with a shrug. “Tomorrow you will register for school.”
“I will,” Ryeowook agreed.
“Alright then there are a few things you should know,” the vampire began diplomatically. He tried to ignore how excitement immediately rose in the human. “A vampire’s bite can be arousing when the vampire doesn’t want to hurt you. Mine isn’t as strong as Heechul’s or Kibum’s but it can be powerful if you have never felt it before. I will never drink so much that your life is endangered because of it. I can tell when I need to stop and I will, so you don’t have to worry.”
“Alright,” Ryeowook breathed, clearly not worried in the slightest.
The vampire growled lowly in his throat and slid his hands up Ryeowook’s legs and over his hips, until he could slide the human forward without hurting him. “It isn’t a good idea to arouse a vampire before they feed. The hunger is hard enough to control let alone anything else. You are very lucky I have a lot of practice at this.” He leaned forward and let his teeth scrap lightly against Ryeowook’s neck.
At the threat of the bite, Ryeowook moaned softly and pressed his body into the vampires. “Why Ryeowook?” he murmured, nipping the skin lightly. For a moment the human said nothing, simply trembled with eagerness in the vampire’s arms. “Why?”
“Because,” he gasped finally. “Because I choose this pain.”
“To bad there will be no pain, and only pleasure for you,” the vampire purred, then sunk his fangs into the human’s neck. The first taste of blood was always his favorite, as the unique flavor of the human met his tongue without any extra work from him. Perhaps it was because he had wanted to taste the human since the moment that he had found him, or maybe it was simply the human himself, but either way the blood that filled his mouth was the richest he had ever had. He pulled the human closer eagerly sucking at the wound and loving the way the young man arched into him in pleasure.
“Yes,” Ryeowook moaned, and the human was his.
▪▫▪☼▪▫▪
“Hungry?” Ryeowook asked him, hitting the keys with one hand as the other rested on the vampire’s leg.
“No. I fed from the others today,” he mumbled nuzzling the side of Ryeowook’s neck lightly and placing a kiss there.
“I don’t like when you do that,” Ryeowook said with evident disgust.
“I can’t feed from you all the time, love, or I would kill you.”
“But it would be an excellent way to go,” the human told him smiling softly.
“Don’t say that,” he murmured, turning Ryeowook’s head with a gentle hand. Their lips met and the vampire opened to the human’s instance, knowing what he was after and that he wouldn’t have been able to deny him if he wanted to. Ryeowook moaned into his mouth, his tongue gliding along the sharp fangs and then intentionally adding pressure so that blood began to flow. Immediately the vampire’s tongue rose to sooth the wound making sure it was sealed completely before he pulled away.
“One of these days you are going to give your tongue a permanent piercing doing that,” he muttered, although he was so used to the action that it hardly bothered him any longer.
“Then we can have a whole new level of fun,” Ryeowook said with a smirk, his hand sliding up the vampires leg towards his groin.
“Weren’t you playing the piano?” he asked smirking.
“It can wait. I would rather do this,” he flexed his hand lightly over the portion of the vampire’s anatomy that agreed with him.
“How do I ever deny you anything,” he muttered leaning down to kiss the human again.
Against his lips Ryeowook whispered, “You don’t.”
▪▫▪☼▪▫▪
“I was thinking after college you could change me,” Ryeowook offered.
“Why then?” the vampire asked, playing with one of the human’s hands that laid against his bare chest.
“Well it would be inconvenient to try and complete college without being able to be in the sunlight,” he said with a shrug.
“What would you go for?”
“Music I think. I could become a star that doesn’t seem to age and then after a number of years I could die unexpectedly, but they could continue to find my work and release it,” Ryeowook said with a devilish smile.
The vampire laughed. “If that is what you want.”
“It is better than lying around here all day and getting fat and lazy,” Ryeowook declared poking him in the stomach.
“I’m not fat!” he exclaimed trying to retain a bit of his dignity but he was too content tangled together with his Pet to bother moving and doing anything about it.
“Either that or you are getting old,” Ryeowook said with a shrug.
“I can’t get old,” he laughed and pulled the human closer. Then, a second later his eyes flashed red and he sat up abruptly.
“What is it?” Ryeowook asked softly, worried but not fearful as the vampire had worried he would have been at the sudden movement.
“Heechul and he is angry,” the vampire muttered. A second later he was across the room pulling clothing out of his closet and dressing himself. “Stay here.”
“Like hell,” Ryeowook muttered, crossing the room at a much more normal pace and pulling on his own clothing.
The vampire grabbed him and forced him to look at him. “If something happened to you I could never forgive myself,” he growled.
“Then I will just stay near you. Yesung if you leave me here I’ll just walk there by myself,” Ryeowook said firmly.
“Fine,” the vampire snapped straightening his shirt and waiting impatiently while Ryeowook finished. The moment the human was finished, he lifted him into his arms and moved off at a pace much faster than any human would be able to.
They met Heechul just as he was walking down the hall towards his quarters and he set Ryeowook down gently. “Heechul,” he murmured, upset by the aggression rolling off his Maker. In Heechul’s arms was a teenager covered in blood that smelled both of human and of Heechul. Beside him, his body speaking of fear, worry and anger, was another teenager, this one wholly human. Then on Heechul’s other side was a vampire, who wasn’t even bothering to pretend to be human like.
“Yesung,” Heechul growled, seemingly relieved to see him but still angry. “There are things I must deal with. Come take my newest child,” he ordered in a voice that left no room for argument.
The vampire quickly moved forward and accepted the unconscious fledgling from Heechul’s arms. The boy was so young and what little clothing he wore was drenched in his own blood. “I will take him to my rooms and guard him as if he were my own,” he swore.
It seemed to satisfy Heechul and he waved him away dismissively turning his attention to the other vampire. “Follow me,” he growled and there was such power in Heechul’s voice that he had to remember a different task was literally lying in his arms. He was unable to keep himself from watching as Heechul walked away with the new vampire in tow, until they disappeared around the corner.
“Monsters the whole lot of you,” Ryeowook snarled clearly angry and pulled his mind back to the task at hand. Ryeowook was moving forward towards the remaining human who was trembling in terror now, whatever calming effect Heechul had had on him had vanished with the vampire’s presence. “Hey it’s ok. I’m human like you. I live here. My name is Ryeowook. What is yours?”
The human focused on Ryeowook as if he was his last remaining life line. “Jonghyun,” he muttered shakily and then his eyes darted frantically to the remaining vampire in the room.
“Don’t worry about him. Yesung is harmless, and wrapped around my finger,” Ryeowook told him, and the vampire had to fight not to laugh at that, no matter how false and also true it was. “What is your friend’s name?”
“Taemin,” the human answered shakily.
“It will be okay. Taemin couldn’t be in safer hands now,” Ryeowook soothed. “Why don’t you come with me and we will get you warmed up.” The vampire didn’t have the heart to tell his Pet that the human’s shaking had nothing to do with cold and everything to do with fear and a side of shock.
Jonghyun nodded and let Ryeowook wrap an arm around his shoulder to guide him down the hall. After only a few steps he froze, “Minho, where did he take Minho? Minho, he,” the human trailed off into incoherent noises and tears began trailing down from his eyes.
“Don’t worry. Minho will be fine. Heechul is the best at what he does. Everything will be alright. Come on,” Ryeowook said gently, soothingly, and the human began to walk forward again. The vampire was suddenly grateful for his Pet and his peace of mind and somehow they managed to get the human and the fledgling back to the safety of his rooms.
▪▫▪☼▪▫▪
He would have been lying if he had said he didn’t take some sort of twisted pleasure in seeing the human stiffen every time he or any other vampire walked in to a room with him. It was a fun game full of amusement for him, with the added bonus that it irritated Ryeowook. His Pet was always so much more enjoyable when he was angry with him, not that he loved any part of him less than the others.
“Stop it,” Ryeowook ordered, elbowing him in the stomach as he climbed onto the bed behind his Pet. He simply grinned and leaned forward placing a kiss on Ryeowook’s neck while flashing a bit of fang. Jonghyun was studiously looking at his homework in front of him, but the vampire still caught the shudder.
Angrily, Ryeowook slammed his pen down. “Yesung knock it off. You know it bothers him so stop it.”
“What I don’t know is why he continues to stay,” the vampire muttered wrapping a possessive arm around Ryeowook’s waist.
“I have to, for Taemin,” Jonghyun muttered.
“Then you are going to have to get over your fear of vampires’ teeth because eventually you will get bitten,” he told the human with a smirk enjoying the flinch.
“Stop it!” Ryeowook ordered jerking free of his hold. “Why are you like this? No one is going to bite him without his permission and you know it!”
“Heechul is expending a lot of energy to change your friend and he needs a steady blood source to fix that problem,” he said casually. Jonghyun seemed to shrink on himself.
“Get out,” Ryeowook said dangerously, turning to face him.
“You can’t kick me out of my own room,” the vampire said with a smile.
“This is my home. My only true home and you know it. What would happen if I uninvited you here?” Ryeowook challenged.
The vampire growled at that, but he wasn’t certain that it wouldn’t work. “Fine,” he snarled, rising and storming from the room.
▪▫▪☼▪▫▪
These types of feeding were his favorite. When they were already sated and relaxed and he could take his time enjoying the taste of Ryeowook and bringing him a different sort of pleasure. It took a good deal of his control not to bite his Pet during intercourse but it was always worth it afterward.
“Mm we should try this in a bath next time,” Ryeowook muttered, tangling their fingers together. The vampire didn’t answer him, choosing instead to continue slowly lapping at the blood oozing out of Ryeowook’s neck while his free hand moved soothingly over the man’s body. Telling his Pet that he would likely drown in a bath didn’t seem to be a wise choice at the moment.
He heard the footsteps before the door opened, so it didn’t surprise him in the slightest when Jonghyun filled the doorway. The human took in the scene with calm eyes and then smiled. “Comfortable Ryeowook?”
“Very,” Ryeowook purred lazily, and the vampire was certain he was only so relaxed because of the sheet covering his lap. The entrance of the human wasn’t going to stop him from feeding and he didn’t bother to try to hide what he was doing.
“I was going to ask if you wanted to hang out for a bit tonight but I see you are otherwise indisposed,” Jonghyun smirked and his entire posture was relaxed.
“I’ll have to take a rain check I think,” Ryeowook murmured.
“I figured. Enjoy your desert, Yesung,” Jonghyun said with a grin. The vampire released something between a purr and a growl as the human closed the door, aware that his favorite form of torturing the other human was no longer useful.

He couldn’t take another moment. Not another feeling of desire or love, or even curiosity or anger. It was all too much and not enough at the same time, and he pushed out, pressing the vampire’s arm away from him. Numbly he struggled towards the edge of the bed and stumbled to the door. Someone was calling his name but he couldn’t register who it was before he was out the door.
His mind was foggy with things that were not his own, things that didn’t belong there and he stumbled down the hall trying to remember what it was he was doing. He needed to find the one person who wasn’t wrapped up in vampires. Jinki he needed to find Jinki, but it wasn’t Jinki anymore, now it was Onew and there was something, something that just didn’t seem right about that idea. Still his feet carried him where he needed to go and he wandered into the room where he knew Onew was.
Onew was surprised to see him in a way that was almost cute and he would have laughed, but he tripped instead, sending him falling forward. Before he could hit the floor, arms caught him and he glanced up to see Minho. Funny he had thought Minho was dead, perhaps he was dead as well. Minho wasn’t dead, he knew that. The memories were there. Minho was a vampire. A dangerous vampire one he, no Yesung, had argued should be destroyed.
He was lifted by the vampire that he was fairly sure he should have been running from and carried to the bed. Onew looked worried and he knew he should really tell his friend to run but he couldn’t get his vocal cords to work. The vampire bent his head near his neck and he struggled weakly to pull away. He was finished with vampires feeding from him.
The press of fangs never came, instead it was a soothing swipe of a tongue licking up the blood he hadn’t realized was still flowing. ‘Sleep,’ a voice that was unmistakably Minho’s whispered in his mind. ‘Rest, Kibum,’ it repeated and he had no choice but to give in.
Chapter Seven Masterlist AN: So clearly my muses don't think Ryeowook is sweet, innocent and doe eyed... I mean come on cute little Ryeowook and then suddenly their promotions for Miinah come around and he like explodes in sexy! That kinda stuff just doesn't pop up over night... That boy is hiding more naughtiness then we know I think... Anyway I am glad that my muses let me go and conclude Yesung's history here. All the main points are covered and for something that was never supposed to be included in the fic anyway, I'm rather happy with it.
A little self promotion: If you enjoy SHINee or just want a long fic to read (well 26K words of long) then you can jump over and try what I and a partern wrote for SHINee Duets titled
To Be Free. *is shameless*
