Of Flesh, Fur, and Fang
Chapter Thirteen

At the words from Zhou mi’s mouth, Kyuhyun forgot all about the need to kill something. He whined pitifully, his half formed mouth still incapable of human speech, and relaxed his body beneath Zhou mi in attempts to send him a message. The teen scowled down at him, anger apparent in his face, and rose from him. “Get up,” Zhou mi said, and Kyuhyun didn’t even mind the sound of an order falling from his lips.

He climbed to his feet, thankful that his legs had remained human the longest. The rest of his body seemed to be hanging in a half state and he reversed the change. He needed his mouth to work so he could explain, so he could make this right. Zhou mi watched him with cold eyes and arms crossed, as his body reformed itself. “Zhou mi,” Kyuhyun whispered as soon as he was capable.

“No,” Zhou mi cut him off firmly. “Take a good look at Eunhyuk,” he ordered.

Obediently Kyuhyun turned to face the werewolf who was still on his back on the bed. Eunhyuk’s body was still rigid with fear and every so often a tremble ran through his form. Kyuhyun had no idea what he was supposed to be looking for, but he wasn’t seeing anything that he thought was remarkable. All he could see was the man who had hurt his Zhou mi.

A tiny growl rose in his throat and died immediately as fingers closed around the back of his neck. Instantly he knew the touch was Zhou mi’s and a wash of calm flowed over him, extinguishing his anger again. “Look,” Zhou mi growled in demand.

If the other man hadn’t been angry with him, Kyuhyun would have found the tone sexy, however under the circumstances he simply did as he was told. He began at Eunhyuk’s toes and slowly traced his gaze up the man’s body, so that he could say he had really looked at all of him. His feet were normal, as were his calves and thighs. He skimmed over his fabric covered groin noting that everything seemed to be in order, to the bare stomach. There, his eyes widened as he finally noticed what he had missed before.

Four parallel red lines ran from his belly button all the way up to his neck. They were scabbed over, but the skin still looked pink and tender. He knew from the way that werewolves healed, and the approximate time that it could have been, those had been very deep gouges on Eunhyuk’s body at one time. The lines were too neat to be from werewolf claws, any damage done by those left jagged edges that tended not to heal nicely. This had to be done by something else.

“I can take care of myself,” Zhou mi hissed in his ear, and Kyuhyun couldn’t argue with that. If Eunhyuk had been anything but a werewolf, he would be in the intensive care in a hospital for days. “Your room, now,” Zhou mi’s voice commanded. As he nodded and trudged out the door, Kyuhyun thought that perhaps he shouldn’t be listening to commands from Zhou mi, who was certainly not more dominate than him, but not even his Beast was willing to argue with it, and they moved down the hall, doing as they were told.

▪▫▪☼▪▫▪

Leeteuk let out his the breath that he had been holding as the pair left the room. It was never wise to command a dominate wolf when they were angry, Quieter or not. Zhou mi had taken a gamble, and thankfully it had paid off.

The moment they were gone Taeyeon rolled over and scrambled up onto the bed. “Are you alright?” she asked Eunhyuk, peppering kisses over his face.

He nodded and curled onto his side, his head resting in her lap as she rubbed soothing circles on his back. Leeteuk moved to the other side of the bed and sat, reaching out to place a hand on Eunhyuk’s lower back. The man flinched away and then stilled with a murmured apology. “You should lie back,” Leeteuk told him gently. “You don’t want to aggravate your wounds anymore.”

Eunhyuk nodded and uncurled from her enough that he could stretch out his abdomen and keep it straight. “Good,” Leeteuk murmured, soothing, and ran his hands up and down Eunhyuk’s legs. The gentle touch would be reassuring to the still shaken wolf and Eunhyuk sigh softly. “You were never in any danger. Kangin wouldn’t have let anything happen to you.”

From the far corner of the room the large brown wolf stepped forward as if summoned by his name. He moved to the bed and bent down so that he could nudge Eunhyuk’s face with his muzzle. “I know,” Eunhyuk muttered reaching out to touch the soft fur of the large wolf with his fingers.

Kangin allowed the touch for a moment before he moved and wormed his way to Leeteuk. His nose nudged beneath the man’s arm until Leeteuk lifted it and settled one hand on Kangin’s head as the other still moved over Eunhyuk’s legs. Taeyeon looked up at him suddenly, anger on her face. “You are playing a dangerous game,” she snapped.

Immediately Kangin growled until she lowered her eyes. Leeteuk waited for him to quiet before he spoke. “I know. Can I talk to you?” he asked, tugging at Kangin’s fur to let him know he meant him.

He rose from the bed, not really waiting to see if the wolf would move as well, and walked swiftly out the door. Taeyeon would be able to care for her mate and with Eunhyuk largely unharmed they would be able to smooth over any residual issues in the next day or so. Just outside the room, he paused and waited for Kangin to appear.

When the large wolf stepped out of the room, his footsteps were surprisingly silent for something of his size. “Our room,” Leeteuk said shortly. Kangin released a noise of protest and inclined his head in the direction of Kyuhyun’s room. “You’re telling me that you couldn’t be up from our room in a second, the moment you knew something was wrong?” Leeteuk asked, rolling his eyes. “I think they will be able to survive for a single second without you right there with them.”

Kangin grinned at him, displaying most of his teeth in a motion that others would see as incredibly dangerous. Then, as if to prove a point, he moved forward and jumped down the flight of stairs in one powerful leap. The bulk of his body made it seem like the impact of his landing should have rattled the house and possibly split the floor boards, but it was silent and light, his legs absorbing all of the shock. If Leeteuk hadn’t trusted Kangin implicitly, he would have been terrified; the Alpha was the perfect killer.

Leeteuk moved down the stairs, meeting the wolf at the bottom and burying his hand in the short fur again. They moved together to their bedroom where Kangin nudged him in first, before walking through the doorway himself. It always amused Leeteuk that the doors and frames in their home were wider than normal to accommodate Kangin’s wide shoulders in wolf form.

“Enough is enough,” Leeteuk said as soon as Kangin had pushed their door shut with his tail. “I know you are trying to accomplish something, but this is putting the pack in danger. Kyuhyun is out of control and you know it.” Kangin whined and Leeteuk enjoyed the fact that there could be no argument as long as he kept his wolf form. “I know you just want him to have what we have, but the fact that he hasn’t claimed Zhou mi yet is making him lose control of his Beast. He’s constantly on edge.”

Kangin bumped Leeteuk lightly in the chest with his head, and the man sighed and wrapped his arms around as much of his bulk as he could. “I know,” he murmured. “I just want him to be happy too, but is it acceptable if he kills one of the other wolves in the process? He’s not listening anymore, Kangin. We always agreed that if that happened, we would…” he let his words trail off, unable to voice what they both knew to be the truth.

In his arms, Leeteuk felt the wolf began to shift and shrink. He released Kangin and stepped back, watching as he shifted from beast to man. When he was finished, Kangin stood for a moment and then held out his arms. “Come here,” he whispered. Leeteuk paused, knowing how raw and sensitive his skin would be still, but when Kangin beckoned again he couldn’t resist. The Alpha didn’t make a sound as he pulled Leeteuk into his arms and tucked him against his body.

“I love you,” Kangin whispered softly.

“I know that,” Leeteuk replied immediately, not sure where this was heading.

“Do you know that I destroyed a grocery store and nearly killed off the entire wild population of game in our area while I was waiting for you to decide on me?”

“You what?” his voice was filled with surprise. Leeteuk had never heard that part before.

“It wasn’t easy knowing how much I wanted you and couldn’t have you. Control was hard, but I did it. How can I not give Kyuhyun the same chance?”

Kangin did have a small point there, Leeteuk knew, but the fact that he was endangering their family didn’t just disappear. “You didn’t have other wolves around that you could view as competition.”

A growl rumbled from Kangin’s throat. “No, just that pesky mail woman who kept hitting on you.”

“That is why you hated her?” Leeteuk asked, pulling back so he could offer Kangin a look. “Because you thought she was hitting on me?”

“I smelled arousal,” Kangin muttered in his defense.

Leeteuk punched him in the shoulder. “That was for you, you moron. If you remember right you had decided to parade around in nothing but boxers for the entire week, just to make a point.”

A grin filled Kangin’s face, and one hand ran up Leeteuk’s back, while the other ran down to cup his bottom. “It worked didn’t it?” he purred.

Leeteuk smacked him on the chest. “Stop that,” he scolded. “You will not distract me from what we were talking about.”

“Are you sure?” Kangin leaned forward and placed his lips against Leeteuk’s neck where he began to nibble at the flesh there. His hands pulled and held Leeteuk firmly to him, and the man in his arms shuddered.

“Youngwoon if you use sex to distract me, you have crossed a line that you will never be able to come back from,” Leeteuk said firmly.

Instantly Kangin released him, leaping backwards clear across the room. The look on his face was panicked and apologetic all in one. “Jungsu, you know I would never - I didn’t mean - I wouldn’t.”

Leeteuk held up a hand to still his rambles. “I know you didn’t mean it like that and that you would never do that intentionally, but you needed to realize what you could have done unintentionally. You are already forgiven,” he moved to the bed and sat on it. “Now come here so we can finish our discussion.”

Kangin moved slowly, as if worried that any sudden movements would spook him. Finally he settled on the bed beside Leeteuk and the other man rolled his eyes. “Youngwoon.”

“Yes?” he asked immediately.

“Kiss me,” Leeteuk ordered, and then grinned at the shocked expression that filled Kangin’s face.

He leaned in, hesitant at first, and pressed their lips together briefly. Leeteuk scowled, “Kiss me like you mean it.”

Carefully, as if afraid to scare him, Kangin reached forward and placed a hand at the back of his neck. When he leaned in and kissed Leeteuk this time, the kiss was returned eagerly, and this time when Kangin pulled away, it was with a half smile on his face. “I do love you,” Leeteuk told him softly.

“I’m sorry,” Kangin murmured.

“I know,” Leeteuk responded with a smile, and then changed the subject entirely. “What if we sent them to the cabin? Kyuhyun can afford to miss school tomorrow and Zhou mi really should just in case his heat still lingers.”

“Without us? But what if-” Kangin closed his mouth at a look from Leeteuk.

“I’m the one who frets. You are the one with the stupid ideas remember?”

That resulted in a grin. “I remember.”

“I’ll go get the phone so we can call his mother,” Leeteuk pulled away and moved to the dresser, swinging his hips in a way that was just a bit feminine but would hold Kangin’s attention entirely. He snagged his cell phone from the dresser and turned to find his mate watching him with a hungry look on his face.

He grinned, taking in all of his mate’s body in one glance. “Is that for me?” he said playfully, staring pointedly at Kangin’s lower anatomy.

The other man blushed lightly but made no move to cover himself. “It’s always for you.”

“Good,” Leeteuk replied as he sauntered back. He leaned down and kissed Kangin swiftly, nipping at his bottom lip as he pulled away. “Because when we are done with this I plan to take good care of it.”

There was a sharp intake of breath and Kangin’s eyes slid closed, making Leeteuk’s grin widen. “Be a dear and call Zhou mi’s mother,” he said as he dropped the cell phone onto Kangin’s lap. He moved around behind the Alpha and climbed onto the bed, stretching out on it. Kangin nodded, picked up the phone, and with shaky fingers began to dial.

▪▫▪☼▪▫▪

Zhou mi tried not to slam the door as he followed Kyuhyun into his room, and he managed to marginally accomplish it. He wasn’t sure which was making him angrier, the fact that Kyuhyun tried to kill a pack member, or the fact that he was currently cowering in the corner of his room in fear of what Zhou mi might say. It was pathetic to see a human cowering like a beaten dog, to say the least.

“Stop it,” Zhou mi said harsher than he meant to and a whimper emitted from Kyuhyun. He sighed and sat heavily on the other teen’s bed. It wasn’t clear if he was dealing with man, Beast, or some strange combination of the two; although he suspected that it was the latter version that was giving him this very different Kyuhyun to deal with.

“Come here,” he said, patting the bed beside him. With hesitation in the lines of his body, Kyuhyun moved onto the bed and crawled forward. He rolled onto his back on the bed, in a move that was so submissive it nearly made Zhou mi sick. Leaning over, he took in the glowing golden eyes that were staring back up at him. Mostly Beast then, Zhou mi reasoned, mostly Beast willing to do anything to keep its almost mate from leaving it.

“Kyuhyun,” he said with a sigh. “I’m not leaving you. I just needed to get your attention and,” he switched to Chinese, releasing a string of curses and few choice statements on what he thought of Kyuhyun’s behavior. Golden eyes stared at him curiously, as if not sure what to make of it. Zhou mi was reasonably sure that the Beast didn’t comprehend his words, at least not when it was like this, so the only way to get through to him would be to show him. He was less than willing to do the sort of demonstration that it would take with Kyuhyun in his right mind, let alone in this state.

“Fine,” he muttered in Korean again. If he had been able to sing the wolves to sleep, perhaps he could do the same right now. Very softly, so as hopefully not to affect any of the other wolves in the house, Zhou mi began to sing.

He couldn’t think of a song that would work, so he simply took his feelings and gave them notes in hopes that it would have some effect. “You are an idiot and making this hard for me. We came to Korea and I hoped to be free,” he was marginally proud of himself for the small rhyme that he had managed. “Then you show up and declare me your mate, and everything seems like a strange twist of fate. You didn’t even do anything that was that bad, now just let me explain why I am so mad.”

Thankfully, Zhou mi was saved from having to write another verse on the spot as the teen beneath him relaxed into slumber. He sighed, and shifted to sit more comfortably on the bed. If he was ever going to write music he was certain he should stick, not only to his native language, but also possibly take some classes on it first or something.

It was hard trying to sort out his feelings as he watched Kyuhyun sleep, and trying to make sense of them. He knew he was mad at Kyuhyun for trying to kill a member of his own pack, but there had to be more to it than that. Zhou mi hated feeling helpless. He hated feeling afraid that he couldn’t take care of himself. All of his life he had felt that way around a pack of wolves and although his parents had tried to protect him, they had been powerless in the end. Now, when he finally wasn’t feeling the fear anymore, he had the kind of protection that he had needed years ago. Ironic, that is what it was, and he hated it.

Kyuhyun’s breathing changed after a few minutes and he looked over to see the young man’s eyes fluttering open. Brown eyes stared at him in confusion for a moment and then glanced away guiltily. “How much trouble am I in?” Kyuhyun whispered, lifting his hand and covering his face with it.

“I don’t know,” Zhou mi reply honestly. “You didn’t kill anyone if that is what you are asking.”

“I think I disobeyed a direct order,” Kyuhyun murmured.

“More than one,” Zhou mi confirmed.

“Kangin’s going to kill me.” Kyuhyun’s voice didn’t sound drawn out or sarcastic but held a hint of seriousness that made Zhou mi, look at him in question. Kyuhyun, with his eyes still covered, couldn’t have seen the look, but he elaborated anyway. “I swore when I joined the pack I would always follow Kangin’s orders, no questions asked. If I didn’t we agreed that he would have to kill me because I would be too dangerous not to.”

The door to Kyuhyun’s room opened and Zhou mi’s head whipped around so fast he was afraid he might have pulled something. There standing the doorway was Kangin with Leeteuk right behind him. “Well,” Zhou mi nearly growled, staring at Kangin in challenge. “Luckily for you, you didn’t disobey a direct order from Kangin, you disobeyed them from Leeteuk.”

Kangin laughed suddenly and crossed the room. “That will do little kitten. You don’t need to get your fur all up.” Zhou mi scowled at the nick name. “But Kyuhyun understands that in a pack, my mate’s orders are as good as my own and mean the same thing. According to pack laws he still disobeyed my commands.”

“Your laws can go to hell,” Zhou mi hissed, something inside of him, snarling in anger. His eyes flashed bright violet and a voice that was not his fell from his lips, “Try it, and you will die Alpha. We can change faster than you can move.” As quickly as it had come, it was gone, leaving Zhou mi’s normal brown eyes staring at him in determination.

Kangin, as opposed to all of the things he could have done, threw back his head and laughed. “I have no doubts that you would protect Kyuhyun with your life, which tells me more than you can imagine, but I didn’t come up here to kill him.”

Zhou mi felt Kyuhyun’s hand on his back and the silent support both reassured and calmed him, something that was both strange and ironic. “Then what did you come up here for?”

A growl slipped from Kangin’s throat and Zhou mi knew he had just about enough of the blatant challenge. He averted his gaze so that he was looking past the Alpha instead of right at him, not exactly submission, but not a blatant challenge either. “For starters,” Kangin growled out, “This is my house and I can go where I please, but something needs to be done or you two will end up killing someone. Leeteuk has come up with a solution. I will be driving you both out to the cabin in ten minutes, where you will stay until you have either mated or agreed never to do so.”

Twin looks of confusion faced Kangin, and his face split into a grin. “It’s either that or Kyuhyun dies and we ship Zhou mi back to China.”

“No this plan is good,” Kyuhyun muttered immediately.

“Good,” Kangin nodded. “Zhou mi, go home. Your mother is waiting for you.”

Zhou mi bristled a bit at the command but did as he was told. Storming from the room like a belligerent teenager. “Kangin, I’m sorry,” he heard Kyuhyun mutter and then was down the stairs and out the front door, before he could hear the rest of their conversation.

▪▫▪☼▪▫▪

The car ride had been awkward. They had sat on opposite sides of the back seat, neither speaking, and watched the scenery as Kangin drove. When they had arrived at the cabin, Kangin had given them the keys to the building and an order to call, only when they had straightened everything out. Without another word, he had jumped in the car and drove away, leaving the two of them standing like idiots amongst their bags.

The first ten minutes they spent awkwardly getting their bags into the house and not saying a word to one another. By silent mutual agreement, they both moved their bags up to the bedroom they had shared on the weekend of the full moon. It would have been too strange for them to stay anywhere else, since every other room smelled like different wolves.

It wasn’t until they were moving about the kitchen trying to get a snack of sorts around, that Zhou mi slammed a glass down a little bit more forcefully than he had meant to, causing Kyuhyun to turn from what he was doing and give him a curious glance. “This is ridiculous,” Zhou mi snapped and Kyuhyun sent him a guilty look. “Stop looking at me like that!”

“Like what?” Kyuhyun asked shocked.

“Like you killed my best friend and are waiting to feel my wrath! I hate seeing you like this. You are too proud and magnificent to cower like this!” Zhou mi’s mouth snapped shut a moment later and he turned back to the vegetables he had been cutting. It wasn’t like he could take back the words that had just seemed to fall out of his mouth.

“Do you even know what magnificent means?” Kyuhyun’s voice carried a hint of humor in it that Zhou mi was glad to hear.

“Yes!” he snapped, savaging a carrot with his knife. “I will have you know I learned Korean through a spell so I know it just as well as I would if I was born here.”

“But the spell couldn’t get rid of your cute little accent?”

Zhou mi turned at the question and threw a chunk of the carrot in Kyuhyun’s face. With a snarl that could hardly be qualified as dangerous, and was clearly in playful challenge, Kyuhyun lunged and tackled Zhou mi to the floor. An undignified squeak left Zhou mi as he fell backwards and he was glad he had released the knife on impact otherwise there could have been a real mess.

“What are you doing!?” he shrieked, trying to squirm free of Kyuhyun’s weight and wondering just how worried he should be.

“Showing you how dangerous I can be,” Kyuhyun declared and his fingers began to search out any sensitive spot on Zhou mi’s body.

“No!” he shrieked, reaching for the only defense he thought would help, but the moment he opened his mouth to try and sing, Kyuhyun’s fingers wormed their way into his sensitive sides and he discovered that it was almost impossible to sing and laugh at the same time.

As much as he hated the idea of rolling around on the floor in the midst of a juvenile tickle war, he had to admit that the release of all the pent up energy felt amazing, even more so once he discovered the sensitivity of Kyuhyun’s ribs and used it to his advantage.

A few minutes later they lay there panting, Kyuhyun on his back and Zhou mi on top of him. “I hate you,” Zhou mi muttered pathetically.

There was a moment of silence, then, “I’m sorry,” was murmured from Kyuhyun’s mouth. The way he said it made Zhou mi almost certain that it wasn’t the impromptu tickle war he was referring to.

“For what?” Zhou mi asked carefully, hoping to see exactly what Kyuhyun thought he had done.

“For making you angry, and trying to kill Eunhyuk,” the second part was added on hurriedly and Zhou mi sighed. He was certain that Kyuhyun would think nothing of trying to kill Eunhyuk again if he thought the situation warranted it.

“You don’t even get it, do you?” Zhou mi asked, rolling off him and staring at the lower cupboards so that he didn’t have to face the werewolf.

“I don’t know why you are so angry,” Kyuhyun said softly. “I was only trying to protect you.”

“By killing a pack mate who you are also supposed to protect? I don’t need your protection from that, not from a single member of your pack,” he snapped suddenly angry again. “You want to know what I need protection from?” Zhou mi spun, ripping his shirt up and over his head as he did so, so that when he faced Kyuhyun, he held it balled in one fist.

“This is what you need to protect me from,” Zhou mi said sharply, jabbing a finger at the four jagged scars that began at the center of his ribs on his right side, and carved down his side to disappear beneath the line of his pants.

“Zhou mi,” Kyuhyun murmured, sitting up and moving forward. He could see emotions warring on Kyuhyun’s face as he reached out and traced one of them with a finger.

“It was another werewolf,” Zhou mi told him softly. “A werewolf crazed for blood, beyond the control of his Alpha. He’s what taught me to fear wolves.” He reached down, sliding slender fingers beneath Kyuhyun’s chin and tipping his head up. There was gold running through the young man’s irises as his head lifted to look at Zhou mi. “You made me trust them again,” Zhou mi whispered. “Please don’t change that.”

“I’m sorry, Mimi,” Kyuhyun muttered, shifting forward so that he could press his face into Zhou mi’s stomach. “It’s just that I want to protect you from everything. You were so scared before.”

Zhou mi settled a hand in Kyuhyun’s hair and ran it through lightly. “I know,” he agreed. “Leeteuk and Kangin said you usually have better control than this. I mess with your control, don’t I?”

It wasn’t a question that he expected answered, so when Kyuhyun opened his mouth and provided him with one, he was surprised. “Yes. I want,” there was a pause. “I want to make you happy. I want to see you smile. I want,” another pause, “you. I want you.”

Zhou mi swallowed. He knew exactly what Kyuhyun was asking for and surprisingly it wasn’t the thought of sex that scared him. They could work out the mechanics of that, and he figured it had to be pleasant or people wouldn’t do it as much as they did. It was, he decided finally, the trust that it would require that terrified him. To give into Kyuhyun, would be to trust him completely and utterly, trust him knowing that he was a very powerful and dominate wolf capable of killing him with his bare human hands, let alone his claws and teeth.

He turned the thought over in his mind, the thought of the destruction that Kyuhyun could do for him, but more importantly to him, and he realized something. It didn’t matter. The thought of the destruction, or the pain that Kyuhyun could cause, none of that mattered. Zhou mi knew what could happen and he realized that he trusted Kyuhyun anyway.

“I want you too,” Zhou mi whispered softly. Kyuhyun pulled away and stared up at him with shock written all over his face. The look morphed instantly into a look somewhere between hopeful and needy. “Make me yours,” Zhou mi added, just in case Kyuhyun wasn’t getting the point. The line was cheesy but it did its job as Kyuhyun surged up and claimed his lips forcefully.

Zhou mi had only been kissed a handful of times in his life but none of them had ever felt so passionate or made him feel so alive. It was full of passion, but not a kind content to sit in the background, it burned through him straight to his toes, and he knew with certainty that he wanted this just as much as Kyuhyun did. He clutched Kyuhyun’s shirt as he opened his mouth to the pressure and strong arms encased him, holding him close.

Kyuhyun tore their lips apart and held Zhou mi still so that he could look at him. His eyes were flecked through with gold and glowing faintly, and Zhou mi knew with certainty that he was looking at both man and Beast in a beautiful combination. This was how it was supposed to be, he realized, them working together as one.

“Claim me,” he whispered, knowing what Kyuhyun would need to hear.

“Mine,” Kyuhyun rumbled, his voice rough, yet he managed the gentleness to lay Zhou mi carefully back on the floor. The moment he was down there was the sound of tearing fabric and Zhou mi realized that werewolves could in fact tear right through jean material if they chose to.

A minute later Kyuhyun, naked and aroused, was spreading Zhou mi’s legs and he wished his jeans had offered a bit more resistance than they had. Fear curled in his stomach for a moment and then Kyuhyun was kissing him again, driving it from his mind as quickly as it had come. He wrapped his arms around Kyuhyun’s shoulders, noticing for the first time how much muscle was there. Absently he noted his legs were being guided around Kyuhyun’s hips and something was pressing against him, but he was too distracted to care.

Then pain like he had never felt before, lanced through him as something pressed into him. He threw his head back and screamed, both in terror and pain and suddenly something was there. Something within him bubbled up, reassuring him that this was right and theirs and nothing could take it from him. Zhou mi whimpered, as the pain didn’t fade but was simply pushed to the side by something else, something that would help him, protect him from it, so they could do what they needed to.

Kyuhyun was whimpering and murmuring above him, holding perfectly still, and Zhou mi blinked tears out of his eyes so that he could see. “Move,” he growled, both in his voice and a voice that belonged to someone else.

Above him, Kyuhyun wasted no time in complying as he slid his hips backwards and then slowly forwards again. It began slowly, but before long, Kyuhyun had picked up the pace, unable to hold back. Zhou mi half expected it to be painful the entire time, but slowly pleasure began to curl in him. Before long he was clutching at Kyuhyun and rocking back against him just as eagerly.

It was over nearly before it truly began; both of them finishing with animalistic noises, yet neither one cared as they were too consumed by the pleasure at finally becoming one. Something within them snapped into place with a satisfying click and the presence in Zhou mi’s mind gave a rumbled purr of contentment before retreating to the back of his mind.

By the time he finally remembered his name, his legs had fallen down and Kyuhyun had already withdrawn from within him. He knew that Kyuhyun was watching him, worried, and he could feel the hand that was drifting over his stomach in a slow caress. Zhou mi carefully examined the damage and discovered that he ached, in ways both good and bad. He could feel something damp between his legs and as much as he wanted to think it wasn’t blood, his nose told him otherwise. That certainly couldn’t have been good.

“I’m sorry,” Kyuhyun sounded so broken that Zhou mi had to open his eyes and glance up at him.

“I’m not,” he retorted, and realized it was the truth only after he had said it.

“I hurt you worse than anyone has. I shouldn’t have,” Kyuhyun muttered.

“Shut up,” Zhou mi ordered crossly. It was hard to relax into the feeling of a nice round of sex when Kyuhyun was whimpering at him. “It isn’t always like this or Leeteuk would always smell like blood. Next time do your damn research and make this better,” he ordered, stabbing Kyuhyun in the chest with a finger.

Kyuhyun chuckled a tiny bit at that. “I already know how to make this better. We need lubrication and I need the patience to stretch you properly. With time I’ve heard it doesn’t hurt at all.”

“That would be nice,” Zhou mi muttered.

“Sorry. Should I move you?” Kyuhyun asked cautiously.

“Not to those bunk beds.”

His face scrunched in confusion. “Why not?”

“Because in ten minutes or so, I’m taking my turn and I don’t want to worry about collapsing beds on top of everything else,” Zhou mi told him tartly. Kyuhyun’s face reflected shock and confusion all at once and Zhou mi laughed. “Just carry me to the couch, Kui Xian.”

The smile on Kyuhyun’s face was warm as he gathered Zhou mi into his arms, “Anything you want.”
