Fifteen: Eggnog
“What the hell did you put in this?” Jonghyun asked, sniffing at the glass in his hand.
“Just the normal stuff,” Key told him with a dismissive wave of his hand and then drained his own glass.
Sipping the contents of his glass the other man grimaced, “Normal eggnog doesn’t taste like this.”
“Yes, it does,” Key disagreed. “Virgin eggnog doesn’t taste like this.” He poured more of the liquid into his glass and then held it up in a toasting motion.
“Are you sure it is a good idea to be drinking?”
Narrowing his eyes, Key pulled the pitcher to himself with one hand and cradled his glass with the other. “I just nearly died and then moved into the demons lair. I’m entitled to drink whatever the hell I want.”
Hiding a grin behind his glass, Jonghyun shook his head. “You don’t have to move in with me. No one can use that to say that you aren’t trying to make things work between us.”
“Like Jessica said I’m here most of the time,” Key grumbled. “Plus, I don’t trust you to call me when Taemin is ready for his first drink.”
“Kibum, we have been over this,” Jonghyun said with a light sigh.
“And I don’t like it any more than I did when you told me a week ago. So no, thank you, but I will be staying here where I can keep an eye on you and keep you from doing anything moronic,” Key snapped before he downed his next glass.
“Going to be hard to do when you are wasted off your eggnog,” Jonghyun mumbled into his glass.
“Shut up, and leave my eggnog alone! You don’t have to have any and you don’t have to be allowed to touch me at all tonight!” Key snarled as he poured himself another glass.
“Whatever you say, Master,” Jonghyun quipped. Grumbling to himself, Key pondered throwing his glass, eggnog and all, at the other young man’s head. After a moments thought, he decided he was far too lazy to want to get up and obtain another glass for himself, causing him to settle on simply ignoring the other young man while he drank another glass.
