On the morning of the first of each month, when you get out of bed, you're supposed to say "rabbit" three times. It's good luck or some shit. I always forget; I can hardly even remember what day of the week it is, let alone some number in the scheme of thirty and-sometimes thirty-one.
I realize I hardly update anymore. I went to the Calendar view and saw that I've started updating three times a month, 'stead of three times a day. I need to get back in the swing of this before I head off overseas. I can always remember things so much better if I write them down.
Zoe and I bought our plane tickets yesterday; we leave on Wednesday, September 12. We return on Sunday, December 23rd. Kara, I don't know if you'll already be home for Christmas by this point (probably), but we've got a six-hour layover at the JFK.
We got some hilarious e-mails saying that the student housing was already allocated in May. So now the scramble is on to find a decently cheap, furnished flat within walking distance of Dublin City University.
I'm at work right now. I think they've forgotten about me. I slowly whittle away the time daydreaming about Michael Madsen and the upcoming trip to South Dakota. I walk very slowly to the water cooler.
I watched Black Snake Moan last night, which was... surreal. I very much enjoyed it. Samuel L. Jackson and Christina Ricci are favorites; and Justin Timberlake certainly held his own. The soundtrack is amazing.
