Happy Independence Dia!
k so this week was HOTT as a mother. started out rather rough, but then got much better. lemme fill ya in on that.
so yeah i was supposed to be a floater this week at work...which means you dont have a group of kids, and you just help out in the office and run errands occasionally. its a really easy job and everyone wants it. so i was happy bc i was still sick and not feelin to well. well. monday morning right before camp starts they told me i had to cover a group for someone bc she wasnt there. so im like ok...it was 3rd grade girls which was a good age. so the girls start coming in and theyre all asking - wheres rachel? wheres rachel? bc apparently they had all had this counselor before and loved her and had requested to have her this week. and im like uhhh she not here but she should be back tomorrow im guessing. and theyre gettin rill pissy w/ me and not making me feel so good. i mean theyre telling me that they dont want me and they want her. SO to top it all off - shes in CHEERLEADING specialty. which means I was in cheerleading for the week. hahahhaha riiiight. so i walk into cheerleading during specialty and just sit there bc i dont know the dance...i dont know anything about cheerleading at all. so i was very useless. then after a lil bit rachel comes in - the girl who i was covering. and im like oh- great we can just switch and you can have your group and ill be a floater. and she said they had told her that i was supposed to have her group the whole week. and im like a-wha?? so we go down and talk to the ppl and they said it would be best for me keep the group. so i wasnt very happy....but tryin to have a good attitude ya know. so the girls are horrible to me all day....whether its saying mean stuff...or not listening to me AT ALL. and then throughout the week she would like take my girls places they werent supposed to be and put me in all these awkward situations. ugh. and i soon realized why they had stuck the group w/ me - bc i actually take my group where theyre supposed to be. but then they got better eventually...bc they realized hel-lo kathryn is so much cooler than this other chick! jk. but yeah it was a good week after all....
then friday night i went camping for the very first time in my life. i went w/ hart, bri and jessica russell and wow was it interesting. lol. basically it was put together very last minute...and just about everything went wrong. but it was all hilarious. ok so to sum it up: hart sprained her ankle before we even started the hike, it was called blood mountain, we had to hike up the 2 mile trail in the pitch black darkness, couldnt start a fire bc all the wood was wet, had to roast our marshmallows by lighting toilet paper on fire, the tents were broken, had to sleep in the open in sleeping bags on a huge slab of rock, got eaten ALIVE by bugs even tho we had on bugspray, heard a pack of coyotes in the middle of the night and jess about peed her pants and wanted to call the cops and tell them to hike the mtn and come get us. lol but needless to say it was a grand ole time. anything w/ those girls is. oh and we didnt get eaten by coyotes which was a plus. oh and ive counted 37 bug bites on my arms and neck alone. yes that is possible.
then saturday and sunday i just chilled....played a lot of cards. im kinda obsessed now. hart and i like to say that we're practicing to be old ladies. i think we're gonna be awesome when we're old haha.
so today is the 4th of july....i did nothing all day. cleaned my room. that was necessary. and then i went to a cookout that someone had for the counselors at work. it was really fun....we just played games and what not. good times. good for a change.
oh and deanna called me tonite and im goin to athens on wednesday!!! hooray! we're gonna leave after i get off work and go to wesley and then dinner or somethin. im so excited! :)
oh and whitney and i finally planned to have a lunch date next weekend. yessssss. i miss her so much! i miss so many ppl from school its crazy.
i miss my hair as well. :(
i have junior camp this week. thats the little bitty ones who pee and poop their pants. hopefully mine wont. we'll see how it goes.
i went to target on sunday and didnt see my stephanie. i pretty much broke down and cried when i got in the car. sadness
