training training training
soooo i was pretty busy all of last week. i did ropes course training all day friday saturday and monday. it was pretty fun and i learned mucho. man some of the elements are killers though....like the zip line was possibly one of the worst things ive ever put myself through. lets just say there was a lot of slack in the line....so there were 2 awesomely painful jerks on the way down...left me bruised from the harness. ugh that was horrible. oh and they were supposed to go fix it like this week. ha of course. but yeah....a lot of it was really fun though..and i got to know all the ropes course counselors pretty well...really fun ppl! oh and we played 4 square like every day....SO fun! these guys are so hardcore too...its insane. i mean this is high level competition here! and i get to play it every day after camp....yesssssssssss. :)
then wednesday through sunday we had general training for all the counselors. wednesday was fun bc we went to stone mountain and had a scavenger hunt that we did w/ our covenant groups. theyre kinda like small groups so we got to know those ppl. i already knew that i didnt really like scavenger hunts that much..but i realized that i really dont like them at all bc i dont even care about losing them. thats when you know its serious lol. so yeah....then after that we played games for awhile. like volleyball, football, oh and red rover. now this was an intense game of red rover here. i have a MASSIVE bruise on my arm from it that seriously looks like i got beaten. this guy just totally took me out with his shoulder...i mean drilled me into the ground. so yeah that was fun lol.
ive probably hung out at this guy brents house with everyone like 4 times now...he lives close by so ppl go over to hang out like all the time. so its been really fun to get to know them. im so excited about camp! it actually started today, but i dont work till next week. i havent seen anyone in like 2 days now and im like man...its been forever haha.
i really like shawn mcdonald and nickel creek at the present.
ok focus. oh bo brawners workin camp so ive gotten to talk to him lately which has been nice. i missed good ole bo. and i get to hang out w/ brytay everyday. and holly and emilys cousin kristi. and planter! good times all around. tonite we have community covenant groups which is basically everyone together havin a good time. im excited. :)
yesterday i hung out w/ joshua in the atl. we managed to make the botanical gardens hysterical and saw madagascar....that movie was so good! lol i was impressed. but yeah we had a lotta fun...my cheeks literally were in pain when i got home from laughing so much. funny kid right there. haha
then today i lunch w/ michael at the laurel springs clubhouse...it was really good. we just chilled and talked and caught up for a good while. i felt so old bc he was askin me all these questions about goin off to college and stuff....i still cant believe im already done w/ my first year. it was really nice though. i enjoy talkin to him.
good news!!!! my radio is fixed! i called this guy who called volvo and got the correct code so now i have music again! you really learn to appreciate it when you dont have it for a week. of course i did illegally listen to my ipod while driving but still. joy!!!
i think im goin to athens tomorrow to get my serviced which is waaaaaay overdue..and to have lunch w/ jarvis. apparently athens is pretty lonely in the summatime. so yeah...
i really like meeting new ppl. i used to think i didnt really....but its so great!
i just got a ticket for the warpedtour so i can see something corporate! problem is w/ work though bc it says it starts at 1230. oh well we'll see. wooohoo!
