a good old southern weekend.....
so overall the w/e at southern was pretty awesome.....to my amazement we did end up goin to charleston at 8 in the AM on saturday.....yuh i know......
but yeah so it was stalds, me, jessie, brittany and heather....all crammed in a lil jetta. it took about 2 ish hours to get there i think.....and of course we just jammed out the whole way. so we get there and went straight to the ultimate tournament. now let me tell you about this here tourney......it was ultimate frisbee club teams.....and yeah its so intense that they had to drop the frisbee...so its just ultimate! so yeah its definitely not little kids playin in the backyard...this stuff was hardcore! and man did we get a kick out of watchin it...im talkin trash talk like woa....boys up in each others faces almost startin fights.....guys yelling intensely "wheres my middle cut?!!?" hahah.....and lam-o excuses for bad throws......wow. so that entertained us for a good while.....then we drove into downtown charlestown and had some subway bc we were starving.....and went back for some more ultimate. then i couldnt feel my toes anymore bc it got so frickin cold....and we decided we were done w/ the ultimate.....so we drove back into downtown and drove all around. now i had never been to charleston before and it was so so pretty! there were palm trees...which is probably 3/4 the reason why i loved it....but yeah and there were all these pretty houses too.....mmm it was just lovely. and i took a couple pics too. yessss.

sooooo if anyone didnt know..the notebook was filmed in charleston and we totally drove by the theater that they went to in the movie.....how amazing is that??? well we almost peed our pants ...i dont know about you.....

anyways.....so yeah we just drove all around charleston for awhile.....then we met up w/ all the ultimate boys bc they were eating at ryans.....stayed for awhile then had to head out to savannah to meet up w/ some folks for dinner. so we ate at this seafood restaurant called love's... sooo goood. jessie and i had fried catfish and about a bajillion hush puppies....yeah our waitress kinda...sucked. and everytime someone asked for somethin she brought out like 2 more things of hush puppies.....lol so yeah we were good to go in that department. but yeah it was good to see jeremy williamson again..and to meet his gf....she was really cool. i always like goin to southern bc i know all of ed's friends from goin down there so much last year.....so yeah that was a lot of fun.
oh and heather finally warmed up to me too and realized i didnt hate her or even have anything against her at all....so that made everything even better. :)
then we went back to jeremy and drew's apt and hung out for awhile....good times. poor jessie passed out on us bc she was so dead. man both of us were passin out like every 20 minutes on the way down to charleston though...im not gonna lie about that. we were so frickin tired. but yeah..... so then we went back and slept at staldie's.
then we got up and went to first baptist statesboro...good good. and oh my gosh it was so crazy bc on saturday jessie and i were talkin about how we missed lauren snyder and wished we could see her....and we were walkin across the parkin lot to church and there were her, becca, and lindsey! i was like woa.....lol. but yeah we sat by them and got to lauren for awhile afterwards....it was good bc i miss her so much! so yeah.....and i got to see edward for a sec finally for the first time the whole w/e....it was good....not awkward or anything which is kinda what i was worried about.
then a bunch of us went to eat at sonnys ......it was good except that i was gettin bashed on for goin to UGA....yeah i know. without fail. lol. but yeah whatevv.....
then jessie and i packed up our stuff and stalds drove us over to edwards house bc i hadnt seen it before....there were a ton of ppl there so it was kinda crazy....yeah it was such a guys house too. like wow. clothes frickin everywhere....dirty....yeah... but what can ya expect ya know. it was really cool though. i didnt really get to talk to edward like i had hoped since there were so many ppl there...but thats ok. and g-ginna met us there too after not seeing her all w/e yay! so we stayed there for about an hour then had to get on back to athens...it was raining and icky ewey.....
so we made it w/o getting lost...although we were when we ended up in south carolina at one point...but it was all good we just missed a bypass. so yeah....i went straight to my jamaica meeting and it turns out they had just been playin dodgeball the whole time so i didnt miss anything.....so i jumped in there and helped em dominate of course. haha. i heart dodgeball. a lot. yes.
then i went back and chilled......and actually had a long conversation w/ edward about some things that needed to be cleared up. it involved a lot of tears and emotions...but it was good that we talked about it. then we actually had a conversation that was beyond surface talk....it felt like old times in the way that we talked about personal stuff again....like we actually had known each other for the past 3.5 years ya know. i cant really explain it but it was good. and i think this whole thing is gonna help us get over that hump thats been holding us back for the past like 5 months or so.....i think we'll actually be able to have some sort of a relationship again. i felt like we were hardly even friends before. so yeah. im really glad that we had this conversation .....
then when i got off the phone i went in dork and beahs room and guess who was there? HART! yep. she was home for the w/e so she drove on over to athens so give us a visit. :) man it had been forever since id seen her...it was so lovely to see her again. leah and i discussed that there are no "harts" in athens. none. so yeah it was nice to have our hart back. sooo i was a lil drained from my previous convo and i really didnt feel like writing this 2 page engalish thingie....and since hart is the bestest EVER....she made me nap and did it for me. yeah im not sure if she could rock any harder! so then around 230ish we went to brittany and maggies room.....always makes you burn a frickin ton of calories from laughin when you step foot in that room...no lie...lol. so we were sucked in there by maggies endless, but funny, stories till about 5ish . yeah. then hart passed out on my futon and so i went to bed too around 530.....
today i had an eye appt so i drove home for that .....um so they said my vision has gotten....better? im sorry that just doesnt make sense in my head. but is good news nonetheless.....
then madre and i had lunch at zaxbys...yesssssss......chatted it up. i love when we get to have these lil lunch/dinner chats lately. its quite lovely. by the way i wont be at home by myself this summer. yeah she decided against that idea. so yeah.
then i drove back to athens and i had a package....my spain video!!!!! so exciting. go phil. so i watched it across the hall since we dont have a VCR.....ahh good times.
so yeah then i met up w/ part of my small group and we went over to some guys house where they have "cell" groups at wesley which is basically bible study groups for the older ppl. so we joined in to see what its like...it was really good. and um im a little disturbed now. apparently im 5'10 now. what? i was a little upset im not gonna lie......just bc ive been a 5'9er for so long now.....and i really like it. but now 5'10.....no thank you. so yeah i couldnt believe that.....oh i got measured up against a door by the way. and i made em do it like 3 times to make sure lol. so yeah.....ugh. oh well im still 5'9. :) hahaha
ok im goin to bed now.....got a lotta studyin to do tomorrow. yessssss. no.
