Though this is not the first slam event I've been to without competing, there's something about it that feels a bit awkward at the moment. Or perhaps it's just the shyness that I can't help feeling while sober and in such a big crowd of people who know me, who are happy to see me, and who I'm not. quite. sure. who. they. are
