Looking back, those were strange days.
My silly world was kept busy, for the most part, with the sudden announcement of Yuki Kajiura. What would that imply for my singers? My queens! Kalafina! The dream of seeing them performing in an Olympic overture started to crack down (little did I know what the world would bring 3 years later, of course...)
Kalafina was not the only thing that caught my eyes around those days, though.
"I love the word fate", Ringo says. But fate can be a bit mean and cruel.
My queens took separate ways, from that point. But they left me a gift. A gift heavy to handle, yet precious and delicate.
And as I listen to Kalafina today, I look back to those days and wonder whether I made the right choice, by accepting that gift. Those were sillier, simpler days. But I slowly changed the lyrics of my song, from ethereal dreams, to odes to the lights in the sky. It was a song of ends and beginnings. Just a song of fated departures and encounters.
It was not supposed to be this hard.
And still, my queens keep telling me as I write these words...
"ring your bell and rise your song".
