Last art dump post I made, I may have mentioned how I made two art pieces for my law school's art show: one large digital illustration and the other a wire sculpture.
I haven't even cracked open the limoncello! that's for my birthday. which is this thursday. *squints* I'm probably being shameless. eh, whatever, I'm turning 21; I'm allowed.
oh, right. time flies! CONGRATS ON SURVIGING YOUR SECOND YEAR!
Ooh just wondering because some people have jewelry trees or similar things (as someone bad with jewelry I have no real idea) and was wondering if they ever got tangled or hard to find if they're all sort of piled in a box, lol.
But I remember you posting about these when you first got them! Still awesome, especially the moving gears. :D
I tend to worry about metal tarnish when it comes to hanging things off of wire trees. I'll probably take a picture of my jewelry earrings box when I get done with this meme. :'D Then you can see just how much of an organised mess it is.
Search etsy for some of the more...creative versions... &/or go to a modern art museum to see what the artists on exhibition claim are trees. I figure, enough time will eventually pass when what's current modern art will get analyzed to death and then I WILL UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT THEY MEANT. BUT UNTIL THEN.
I love the wire sculpture because it is awesome and I always seem to like things that look like trees (I was tempted by a tree-like candle holder recently although I would never use it. :S). So I vote it very tree-like. I really love the 'roots'.
Although I will never wear earrings I am generally perfectly fine with that fact. Sometimes, however, when I am presented with interesting ones like those lovely steampunk statements there I am saddened by my lack of piercings. They are very cool and I can see why they might pop up on your list multiple times.
Surviving 2nd year of law school? Congratulations! (1 more year to go?)
When I first started making this I had no idea how to begin... so I went onto Etsy and proceeded to get carried away by all the bloody professionals with their bloody 2inch thick wire willows. Augh, talk about amazing.
Aaw. Well, there are other steam punk statements that can be made! Like rings and necklaces, yeah? Rings in particular. If I weren't such a fan of simpler ring designs, I'd absolutely get a watch-part ring!
Not at all! They're about the size of dimes and maybe half a centimeter thick. And since they're watch parts, they're not actually solid metal. Lots of intricate pieces behind those mini screws, I believe. =D

I like how it allowed you to COMPLETELY AVOID TAKING A PICTURE OF YOURSELF. (read as: I feel so sad.)

Tell you what, at the end I may take a photo of myself wearing a random pair that didn't make it onto this meme?
