I'd just like to say that Date and his army have the best battle music ever. I'd totally want to barrel into opposing forces with his theme in the bgm, ttly. XDDD
And fuuuuuuuuck, Date's fight with Keiji was hot. Two EXTREMELY CRAZY faces aside, everything was utterly fantastic. Not RIDICULOUSLY EPICALLY GAR like his duels with Yukimura (those are just huge plasma-fests injected with mutated forms of testoterone), but nicely choreographed with evasive maneuvers and quick-step footwork and a;lsdkfjsdhf must refrain from licking my computer screen. >_> (ALSO. HE HAS A MAGNETIC RELATIONSHIPS WITH HIS SWORDS HOLY FUCKING SHIT HAY THAR SKY DRAGON WEATHER CHANGING DRAGON??? ROFLLLL I LOVE THIS MAN/SERIES).
Fffff. Yukimura just keeps coming back for more. HE JUST LOEVS TAKEDA'S FIST THAT MUCH. And oh, Sarutobi. Never change ♥

>> Summarizes the more traumatic parts of Date's childhood quite poignantly. It's on Wikipedia, but the gist is that after he lost his eye to small pox, his mother deemed him unfit to lead the Date clan and favored his younger brother. He's shunned by his mother for the majority of his growing up until he's poisoned by his brother at his mother's behest. Kills his brother, his mother flees. Some time later his father's kidnapped and Date tracks down the kidnapping party. His dad tells Date to just gun both himself and the kidnappers down. I have no idea what the deal is with Itsuki, but I remember reading somewhere that they're often portrayed in a brother-sister relationship? IDEK.

>> First part... well, watch the first 30 seconds definitely. IT'S AMAZING. The first part is mainly stills + text bubbles with Itsuki and Date and Kojyuurou... and it's angsty enough for you to get the general idea of what happened. =P After 2:50, YOU MUST ALL WATCH IT. Because at 3:30, there's Yukimura WIELDING TWIN PLUNGERS and Masamune CLASHING and SPLITTING THE FUCKING EARTH LIKE A GODDAMN GOBSTOPPER.
