(LOL moment: I logged on only to check if my crosspost formatting worked for my year in review post, did friends view, and suddenly your year in review post popped up. Apparently great minds?)

I'm sorry about the boy. :/ If I can do any cheering up, let me know! ♥

I also just saw Aquaman (went it with no expectations whatsoever) and had a really good time.

Yes! This is what I did -- zero expectations -- and I actually managed to enjoy it. All the criticism is super valid, but I don't really care. It was just good fun, you know?

Ginsburg had better live to 100, fucking hell.

Um, yes. I have approximately two lawyer friends who were good with The Idiot's last SCOTUS appointment, and I'm pretty freaking terrified that RBG is going to pass and we're going to be utterly screwed. (And all of the "hey I'll run for President for the dems!" Tweets and speeches are less than stellar right now. I can't help but wonder if Beto's run for Senate wasn't just a pre-emptive run for President to show Just How Cool he is, and if so kudos to whoever's managing his campaign, but I'm not really impressed.) 2018 politics are just sort of terrifying.

How are you faring with Tumblr? Any flags yet? (Mine got deleted and undeleted? I have no idea.)

I have excellent timing ;)

Thanks hon. I'm more or less fine now--a bit resigned that I will likely always be fond of him, but the major issue we both faced was that we're both ambitious/career-driven people, and I believe I'm incapable of romantic love--or at least the level of feeling he felt for me? I don't even know. Non-platonic /familial emotions are odd creatures.

I think one of my posts on tumblr (one of the ones with the wedding chibi artwork I did for a friend) got flagged a year/two years back. Maybe that was when tumblr was first alpha testing (LMAO if they even do that) their shittacular algorithm. Since then, no post have been flagged, but I think that original flag has left a stain on my blog as a whole because none of my posts ever turn up on a safe-mode search anymore. /huff

Right? They're sort of "does not compute" in my brain. I like reading about romance, or watching it, but I've never felt it. *hands*

Oh, Tumblr, you giant trash can fire, you. ♥ I switched permanently to DW a couple years ago and cross-post to LJ, and I'm enjoying it, but it's not really set up for art, which is annoying. Tumblr is a great forum for art posting, except for how their new algorithm is unbelievably weird and broken. Which isn't really art-specific, to be fair. My roommate is struggling with the Tumblr thing for art reasons, as well, and trying to decide whether she wants to just go back to Twitter, or to try DW or brave the clunky beta that is Pillowfort.
