Wow, where to begin? Well, let me break this up twice-wise.
Why do I love them? They're inspirational, amazing people who also seem very imperfect and human. I mean, Gerard gets up on stage, or in interviews, and they all do, and say the most amazing things, but then they go home and play video games and read comic books. They're so talented (ESPECIALLY a certain Mr. Toro), and Gerard's concepts are so striking and raw. And I love they way they interact, the way they all seem so close, especially the adorable Way brothers geeking out or Frank's fangirly-glomping all over Gerard. Tinhat or not, I love to see them together. Lastly, yes, they are all very beautiful. And (actually, this is lastly), their stage presence is so strong. If When I make it onto a stage like that, I want to be strong and stand out like they do, to push buttons, to mean something.
Why do I love their music? For many of the above reasons: it's inspirational, it's creative, it's touching. But also, I love how they can tackle dark, heavy issues, like death, head-on, and make it strong, but then go and write about teenage angst completely tongue-in-cheek and make a song all about DEATH be so sarcastic and fun. I love their pop-punk sound, I love their guitar, I love Gerard's VOICE... I love their music. I really, really do.
If anything, watch this. This captures why I love them, and more. It captures them.
