Hi! I found your journal from one of the Inception communities, I think, and I couldn't help but comment here because I too love this song! Also I wanted to link you to the vid that Lim made about, well, fandom, using this song, in case you haven't seen it. (That was how I found out about Regina Spektor's music.)

That was pretty much my reaction too. :) She also made a Stargate: Atlantis vid to Regina Spektor's "On the Radio" -- the vid title is "This Is How It Works" -- that is absolutely heartbreaking such that now the song makes slashfen cry. Or me, at least. You probably need to have read the John/Rodney story that inspired it, Freedom's Just Another Word For Nothing Left To Lose, which is also heartbreaking, and I think it works without much knowledge of SGA as a fandom.
