I think I am almost ready to start a real pair of socks using the double knitting technique to knit two socks at once. I had lost of fun telling Hugh I was a knitting magician as I turned the heel on the practice socks. Hehe, so exciting. Now that the heel is done, I have lost interest in the exercise as the toe is just more of the same.
One sock...
is now two!!!
I want to try a real pair of socks now. I bought some cute yarn while I was in Japan so I think I am going to start a pair of socks with it.
Finally, this is the jacket I have been working on this last week. My mom originally bought the fabric and pattern but decided she did not have the time to put it together. So I inherited it. I already had some lining fabric in my stash from a previous project which never worked out so all I had to buy was some sew in interfacing and a button. Cheap jacket!
As it is corderoy, it is pissing me off by shedding on everything and being non iron friendly. I had to re-pin and baste the sleeves on three times before I decided enough fussing. (I am a perfectionist at the worst times)But it does look like a jacket. Now I have to lay out and cut the lining for insertion. Then it is just the collar to finish. Yay!
I am also planning on playing with screen printing and applique work to make some pretty skirts. Maybe if they turn out well I can sell a couple on etsy. That would be sweet.
Hugh is making Tacos for dinner. Yummy!
