Today's the first anniversary of the big quake... well not the only big quake in Christchurch, but the one that killed 180 people and rewrecked the city that had been hit hard five months earlier. There's been 10,000 quakes since September 2010. February 22 last year was the one we are remembering today - although slightly smaller than the one the previous September, it hit at lunch hour on a work day, and two major buildings collapsed, killing many people inside them. Buildings and shop frontages also fell on to buses, cars and pedestrians.
