First morning home update
Well, things are rapidly returning to normal here. Bob didn't get much sleep last night because he camped out with Mei-Mei on the floor in his office and she kept pushing him off the cushions. Melody seems to be adjusting even more quickly than Preston did. Preston is frankly his own worst enemy when something hurts. He refuses to lay down and then he gets so tired that his legs shake and he hurts himself. Melody just turns in a half-circle and plops down. She's already figured out how to avoid her wound. And I haven't heard her yip at all.
I cannot tell you how happy I am that Melody is pushing us around already! You know how she is. And yesterday, she was just so pathetic. She had no spirit. She was just spent. That she's feeling well enough to push Bob and I around is a very good sign. And she's already showing fewer pain symptoms, which is just amazing!
She keeps coming out of the office, looking and the living room, and then going back into the office and laying on the cushions or floor. I think she wants to lay on her couch, but right now, it's just too far away. Soon I don't think we're going to be able to stop her.
