[health] No change

My rash isn't going away. It's not spreading and it's not itching, but it's also not calming down. Yesterday I had an outbreak on my foot. I scratched it, of course. But I also cleaned the scratches and put Neosporin on it. Today it looks just like my legs -- small shallow wounds with red waxy-feeling skin all around it,

The foot I broke last year has been in a persistent state of swollenness since the heat got bad. I've been elevating it as I sit at my desk, and icing it at least once a day. I also sleep with it elevated. But it just feels like there's not enough room in my foot for my toes to move properly. The same thing usually happens to my bad elbow when it gets this hot, but for some reason I've been spared that.

Bob was wondering if this whole getting up to 190 lbs when he sees how little I'm eating isn't do to with some crazy water retention thing. I've been drinking water like crazy and haven't been eating anything salty, though, so I don't know what could have caused it. Except the rash and this ridiculous heat. Can I have a thunderstorm please?

Bob's allergies are off the scale. I'm assuming this is all heat related.

Yuck. GIVE ME THE TROPICS! The Northeast just doesn't know how to do 90 degrees properly.

Thinking of making a salt bath and lying in it. Bob had a similar rash on his fingers and toes before we went to St. Croix in early June and he said the sea made it clear up.

We had a plan to clear out some outbuildings today before it got too hot, but I think it may already be past too hot.

I am going to try really really hard not to go near the books today. I have a strong suspicion that this rash has a lot to do with 30 year old dust.

Oh, and I'm fighting a headache. If I didn't get good news this week about moving my printers, I'd be really pissed off.

Not pissed off. Just aggravated. You would be too if you had a rash on your legs for a week and your foot looked like a balloon and your doctor is a shmuck.

I promise I'll try to work on my thought piece about Barney's books so you'l have something thought-provoking to read later. =)

Happy Independence Day!
